    Heritage Ranch a Hit

by D3D3D3 on 2017-11-15Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

This was my first time attending the Heritage Ranch Rodeo and I was not disappointed. I hope with all the confusion over CFR and PBR, that Heritage Ranch and Farm Fair will still continue long into the future. It was a great event!

    Real Cowboys

by AlbertaRick on 2017-11-11Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

We try to go to this event every year. This is a true look into the cowboy way of doing things! So nice to see all the cowboys in arena and there families in the crowd, then after they compete come up and be with their families. A great representation of the working ranches of western Canada!

    Slow moving rodeo

by Free1 on 2017-11-11Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

The team penning was really slow times it’s like no one was even trying for fast times. The pretending branding was none eventful slow. Then they brought out about 20 bulls to show & give one away that was like intermission, I took my wife & daughter & two children they were bored.

    Great entertainment

by Bill56 on 2016-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

Lots of good horses, cowboys and lots of action. The pressure of competition makes everyday work hard for even the most competent cowboy and is fun to watch.

    Always a great show

by Bill56 on 2015-11-14Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

The Heritage Ranch Rodeo is a portrayal of some of the skills required on ranches in western North America. Horsemanship and animal care are priorities. Classic, good quality gear and great horses. Bruce Flewelling provides a great pen of quality horses for the ranch bronc riding. The laid back atmosphere makes it a real family show.

Heritage Ranch Rodeo - great competittion

by Maybel on 2014-11-10Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

Great new timing format starting on Tuesday evening - easy to get to all the other events happening that week. Teams were well matched and the action was well paced. Unfortunate and preventable errors in the day sheets with the mix up of times between events. The announcer - while entertaining also got lots of facts mixed up throughout the 3 days. On at least one occasion there were no results given for the event so the crowd had no idea who was leading. it would be simple enough to do a quick spreadsheet leader board to put up on the screen for all to see without the announcer having to rattle it all off verbally.

    A good show

by Bill56 on 2014-11-07Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

a great cross section of cowboy skills and horsemanship - far closer to real ranch work than professional rodeo. A friendly crowd and laid back performance adds to the enjoyment. This year the show was shorter as for some undisclosed reason the cow milking was dropped.I missed it and I think a lot of the other people in the audience did too. The bronc riding was sensational as the horses bucked hard and the try of the riders intense.

We enjoyed the first two ranch rodeos, wished our time had allowed for us to attend the final. Another time.
