    opening act better!

by pearson on 2010-10-21the studio at hamilton place - hamilton

went to hot hot heat not knowing anything about the opening act, hey Rosetta! Hot hot heat were stuck up and dissed our hometown. they were less than enthused and were greatly outdone by hey Rosetta! the only reason why I would see hot hot heat again would be to see hey rosetta!

by arcticstar on 2010-10-13THE CAPITAL MUSIC HALL - Ottawa

It has been one of the best concerts I've been to! Amazing energetic event from beginning to end! Aucoin was crazy and entertaining! Hey Rosetta is better than ever and would love to go to a show they are headlining...hopefully soon! HOT HOT HEAT was HOT!

Third time seeing these guys this year! But this was the best show yet! Smaller venue so much closer to the band, more songs since its their show!!

    Openers stole the show!

by Eulogy on 2010-10-09Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Was going into the show with no expectations as I hadn't seen any of the bands perform live. Rich AuCoin had an incredibly diverse show with tons of audience interaction. Hey Rosetta! stole the show. The band played incredibly well together and sounded amazing. Hot Hot Heat started the show by complaining about the lighting, then complaining about the venue and city. It really set up a wall between the band and the audience, I didn't think this could be possible in such an intimate venue. I've seen a number of lesser known bands play this studio with no issue and all shows have been outstanding. Hot Hot Heat did not meet my expectations and I left disappointed.

    Bad taste in my mouth

by beebster on 2010-10-08The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

So I don't know if these guys (and I am only speaking of Hot Hot Heat) have a thing about just walking off stage at the end of a show without thanking or acknowledging the people who came out to see them, but that's what they did on Wednesday night. And they started the show on an equally sour note too with some negative comments about the venue. Complain to your manager, not your fans guys. I've got to say, I did leave with a bad taste in my mouth and I'm not sure I would make the effort to come out next time. Having said that, I thought they were awesome live - way better than any of their recorded stuff, which is the way a band should be. It kind of made me a better fan of their music and yet, I'm not sure I'm a fan of the band.

    Hot Hot Heat

by CMusgrove on 2010-10-04The Pyramid - Winnipeg

I can't say enough about the energy of this band. A solid mix of new and old favorites -- which was great because I was there for their old stuff. Also, I love that they played the Pyramid. A perfect fit and a fabulous evening.

Fake Shark - Real Zombie were BAD!!!!!!!!!

by PaulBar on 2010-09-26Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Thank god for Hey Rosetta, for they made up for what was undeniably the worst live performance I have ever seen: Fake Shark - Real Zombie. More like Fake Act - Real Bad!

Great show to kick off the centennial!!

by Antrimcowboy on 2010-04-16Wyckham House: MRU - Calgary

Took my 12 year old daughter to this show, and man am I in the good books!! Bell Tower kicked it all off with a great set. Then Misha and co rockabillied the house down with their two piece power riffs and heavy beats. Chixdiggit got the crowd involved in the mosh pit, setting the tone with punk rock MRU style fun!!!! Then headliners Hot Hot Heat capped it all off with their own stylin alternative keyboard based altrock/dance rithyms and stage antics. Had a blast, wished it were a weekend so I couldve had a couple of pops!! Awesome doesn't do it any justice!! When any of these bands play again, must be there!!
