    The Garrick Rocks!!

by Ozzymoto on 2012-02-14The Garrick Centre - Winnipeg

The show was an awesome mix of metal. With the thrash of Warbringer(opening), to the power metal of the veteran's Iced Earth & closing with more power metal veterans of Symphony X.

    Iced Earth brings the metal

by DaleM on 2012-02-13The Garrick Centre - Winnipeg

Warbringer were a kickass opener, thrashing the place into oblivion. Iced Earth went second as they are co-headlining with Symphony X but they easily stole the show. Wicked riffing and an amazing new vocalist made for the perfect combination of thrash and heavy metal that are Iced Earth. Long time fans may miss Matt Barlow's vocals but Stu Block is a damn fine replacement. Amazing voice, especially live. Symphony X were relatively new to me and were enjoyable. Their vocalist is really good. Unfortunately I had to go before their set was done, but I wouldn't mind seeing them again.

    Solid show

by Erocks on 2012-02-08The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Warbringer was great! They had lots of energy and got the crowd going. Overall a good performance from them. Symphony x was my favourite band of the 3. They were tight, sounded great, and also very energetic. One thing i didn't like about their set is the song choice. They played mostly tunes from the latest 2 albums, and only 2 songs from older albums. Iced Earth was solid as well. They put on a good show but the sound wasn't quite as balanced as symphony x. Overall, a great concert. very loud, and very long; which are both positives!

sound quality there was fantastic. all 3 bands put on a awesome show! It's difficult to see who was better Symphony X or Iced earth. but I have to go with Iced Earth! I've been a huge fan of theirs sense Tim "ripper" Owens was the lead singer.

Symphony X was the Main event.

by PROGNUTHEAD on 2012-02-08The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

This is the first time I think I've been to a concert where the main headliner (Iced Earth) wasn't the best. It was Symphony X, who were the performers before Iced Earth. I have to say that I was more impressed with certain members of SYmphony X more than with ICed EArth members. For instance, Russel Allen is truly one of the best power vocalists I the progressive metal genre. Canadian singer and new member of Iced Earth, Stu BLock was good but not at the same level. Their we're times I could not here him sing through the microphone, but to stu's defense I believe the microphone dynamics were quite off. Something the roadie"s should have looked at. Anyway, Michael Romeo's guitar playing really stood out and Michael Ruello's drums were by far the best of the night and the level of speed he plays at is incredible. All in all it was a good night. Managed to stand at the front and enjoy the mastery from both bands
