IF/THEN is a contemporary new musical that follows two distinct storylines in the life of Elizabeth, a city planner who moves back to New York to restart her life in this city of infinite possibilities. When her carefully designed plans collide with the whims of fate, Elizabeth’s life splits into two parallel paths. IF/THEN follows both stories simultaneously as this modern woman faces the intersection of choice and chance.
IF/THEN is recommended for ages 12 and up for strong language and adult themes. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain time. The performance begins promptly at the time noted on your ticket. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management.
Idina Menzel is a fantastic performer and never fails to have a good show. The entire cast was quite talented and this young Broadway show has a very bright future. Set in Broadway's very own New York City, the storyline is fresh and contemporary, and is very accessible to today's modern society. The audience was full of laughs and full of tears, and this musical was a wonderful celebration of life.
So glad I made the trip to NYC for this show. Story was smart and performances so good.
Overall very lacklustre - what I expect from a university performance not Broadway. The dancing was awkward and out of place. The music was largely forgettable, the story kinda predicatable, characters caricatures, and any ensemble number weak and poorly mixed. Husband and I were very disappointed and strongly recommend seeing something else. By contrast we loved the last ship.

Idina was unbelievable, and I'm not that much into musicals. The storyline lacks but Idina makes up for it. The seats at the theatre were dreadful, and I'm not eveeven that tall.
If/Then is the only original musical on Broadway (original story and music). It is a contemporary story and you will recognize the characters from your life. Idina Menzel is spectacular, and the rest of the cast is excellent too. We laughed. We cried. We were swept away. We saw 4 Musicals during our week in New York. We enjoyed all of them but all selected If/Then as our favorite. Recommended.
Idina Menzel does not disappoint in this new show! I was floored by all the performers abilities, and the story was so great! Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!

Great show. Amazing Cast. I laughed, I cried and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Idina is the QUEEN of Broadway - that voice. Every time I hear it live I get the chills. Definitely recommend.
I had not read much about the show so I went having no expectations, my daughter and myself both just wanted to Idina Menzel live. But once she appeared on stage we were both caught up in the story and Idina became Liz/Beth, the show was both funny and gut wrenchingly sad in parts we did not expect to cry but we both did. It is one of the best musicals I have ever seen and I will go and see it again, everyone in the show was amazing, they all did a fantastic job. We both love Idina Menzel even more now, she is the queen of Broadway.
