    High level soccer in Toronto

by FootballWizard on 2010-08-10Rogers Centre - Toronto

With no disrespect to TFC, Inter Milan and Panathanaikos demonstrated high-level soccer--the way soccer should be played. The game saw many chances at both ends, 5 goals, and some good entertainment. I am, however, disappointed in the turn out of the Greek community, which left a great deal to be desired. The Italian contingent was excellent. Just over 17 000 people showed up, which was surprising considering 20 000 show up to the TFC games. What are you people thinking? Do you watch soccer because it is a local team from Toronto, or do you watch soccer for its beauty in skill, speed and grace. Sometimes I wonder.

Great game. Surrounded by incredible, die hard fans...it couldn't have been any better, and then panathinaikos won!!!! Can't beat that!!!!!

    Who's Reigning European Champion?

by DiehardRed on 2010-08-04Rogers Centre - Toronto

The way Cisse, Leto and the rest of Panathinaikos played you might have wondered who was the defending Champions' League winner?

Inter dialed in their game with wrong number.

by Displacedyankee on 2010-08-04Rogers Centre - Toronto

If only Inter took the game more seriously and began the game w/their usual starting lineup the outcome would have been different. Only at the last 15 minutes did they really start to play, once they realized the Greek Team was in it to win it. Too bad more people did not show up, way too many empty seats & sections completely closed off. I'm sure both teams were a bit disapointed with lackluster ticket sales. Lots of room for those of us that did show, so no complaints there. Usual expensive Rogers Center/Skydome food & drink, crazy pricing points, you REALLY got to want something bad to crack open your personal vault and fork over big cash, even for bottled water....nuts.......!!! My almost 4 yr old son had what seemed to be a good time, would have been great if Inter players signed autographs like the Panathinaikos did.

    Clash of the Champions

What an exciting match, was disapointed in Benitez choice of player selection and allowed time for starters. But entertaining none-the-less.

Great Soccer Game Panathinaikos Inter Milan

    by greek123 on 2010-08-04Rogers Centre - Toronto

The Game was amazing. The only problem was the turnout, the ticket prices were way too expensive. It's not even that expensive to see a Champions League Game.

    What a game!

by Soares on 2010-08-04Rogers Centre - Toronto

Sad to see Internazionale lose, but such great play from both teams, which lead to a great finale. And in the 89th minute, when Diego Milito just missed that header opportunity was a fantastic finish to the game. Overall great game.
