Before becoming a country music sensation, Florida-born Joshua “Jake” Owen dreamed of becoming a professional golfer until a wakeboarding incident led to reconstructive surgery and left Owen unable to keep playing. He borrowed a neighbor’s guitar and began teaching himself to play, eventually playing country covers in bars before writing his own material and moving to Nashville. There he met producer Jimmy Ritchey and eventually executives at Sony BMG, who signed him to RCA Records and put out his debut album Startin’ with Me in 2006, producing the single “Yee Haw.” Owen toured in support of Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, and excited ticket holders with his baritone voice and lively tunes. He also opened for Kenny Chesney, Sugarland and Keith Urban. His second album Easy Does It in 2009 and spawned three more singles, “Don't Think I Can't Love You,” “Eight Second Ride,” and “Tell Me.” In 2011, Owen’s third album Barefoot Blue Jean Night was released, and both the title track and single “Alone with You” hit No. 1 on the country charts. 2013 saw a US concert stretch with Jason Aldean and his newest single “Days of Gold,” which precedes his fourth studio album of the same name due out in December.
Great concept by Jake Owen. The venue at Rama is also great for concerts - smaller and all great seats to see the performance. Only downside is it was pretty short. He played for under an hour and there was no opener.
Rama’s very first post COVID event did not disappoint! As always the venue was immaculate and everything was well organized and efficient! Jake Owen is “a first class act”. Excellent performance by him and his band. He seems to really enjoy entertaining (smile never seemed to leave his face) interacting and engaging the audience all the time!
The energy level was excellent, production was amazing, sound was first class. I was so impressed with everything. I felt for Jake as the crowd was somewhat somber. I don’t know if it was a polite Canadian thing or they just weren’t Jake Owen/ country fans. Can’t understand also the fact that with a crowd that size Rama wouldn’t cash in on beer sales. 2 small bars with massive lines was a head scratcher. This was our first concert since we went into 2 year hibernation. This was a 5 star night otherwise.
Jake Owen is one of my favourite country artists and his concert did not disappoint. Not only did he preform his songs perfectly but his engagement with the crowd was awesome. Would totally see him play again and is on my top 5 concerts I’ve seen.
Venue is great. Sat up in the mezzanine and the view was good. Jake and his band were entertaining and the music was great.
I have been to many concerts! But I must say Jake Owen was amazing!! The first and only time that a entertainer come off the stage into the crowd!! Thanks for such a GREAT show Jake!!
I thought the concert itself was great but the way the concert venue was run was not. We were sitting close to the doors almost at floor level and the doors were left open until a good hour into the performance and late comers were constantly arriving. The bar being open until the end meant people were constantly getting up to get drinks. It was very distracting and annoying. It took away from the experience.

Absolutely amazing concert. After 2 years of no concerts, Jake hands down did amazing at brining the excitement back! Nothing I would change. Keep up the great work. Would love to see him again. Emily
Jake Owen was fantastic! Lots of energy, great tunes. Definitely a good show. No bad seats at Casino Rama, long bar lines though and lack of food options for take out to room, no room service options either. Definitely room for improvement at resort. But overall great concert
