He is fantastic. If you haven't seen him before, think of Jamie Cullum as a young Brit with a smooth and soulful voice, who can play any instrument flawlessly. He knows how to get the crowd going and has a ton of fun on stage. His music is a mix between jazz, pop and remixes, with some radio-friendly tunes and some more reflective/introspective pieces. If you haven't been, definitely go. He doesn't seem to be overly well-known in Canada but if you can get him at a small venue, you will be in for a treat!
Another incredible night with Jamie Cullum! We saw him earlier in his tour in Portugal and this was even better. I had never been to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre before and was very pleased with the sound and the intimacy of the venue. Jamie did what he does best, connect with his audience through his music and with the several 'conversations' he had with the crowd. There were several songs from his current album 'Momentum' along with many of his biggest hits which are performed with energy and passion like they were new releases. The band was very tight and they showed great musical ability on many instruments. An unforgettable night....head back to Toronto soon!
Jamie Cullum is incredible. He didn't leave the stage once, he was gracious, involved and so talented. Can't wait to see him again.
Young Jamie is an amazing entertainer. He and group are very talented musicians. Such a range of styles. And ENERGY. Wow! I Will go see him again. Great evening.
Jamie Cullum's performance was nothing short of spectacular, bringing a normally reserved Toronto audience to its feet. Masterful musician, his on-stage charisma just blew me away. Consummate entertainer.
This was a fabulous performance - so much energy, talent and connection with the audience
Trust me, even if you think jazz is not your thing, you will be feeding from Jamie Cullum's hand by the end of the night...hungry for more of the talent he and his band has to offer.Right from his opening number, the energy this show was going to muster up was evident...and it only got better. His fusion of jazz/pop/blues is brilliant. He performed favorites from previous and present releases and, and it didn't take much to get the audience standing, dancing, and some singing, to his lineup of great hits. His vocals went from ultra high to skat- like Louis Armstrong improve. He did not disappoint the Toronto audience with his rendition of Drake and Justin Timberlake while drumming on his piano. His performance is memorable, his talent is undeniable, and his shoes are awesome!!!
Hands down one of the best concerts. I could watch this guy again and again.
Jamie is just incredible. Knew his recorded work and some already quite amazing live performances on YouTube - e.g. The BBC Proms concert...seeing him in person on stage is quite a different experience ! Beside the extraordinary musical talent - of him and his fellow musicians - the energy he brings into the venue is just unreal! Now I understand why all the folks around us said "once you've seen him - you'll come again".... so Jamie, "à la prochaine!!!"
