    Jay Brannan Rocks Lee's Palace

    by JBreen09 on 2012-03-09Lee's Palace - Toronto

Saw Jay Brannan at Lee's palace this week - March 7 2012 Huge fan and I've seen him in Toronto 3 times over the past few years. He wasn't feeling the best but his voice was amazing and he went through his library of cover and original songs. He's a great singer but also really funny and approachable. He took requests from the audience and sang an amazing rendition of Someone Like You by Adele

    Love Jay always

    by Ciera16 on 2010-11-26Biltmore Cabaret - VANCOUVER

This is my second time seeing Jay Brannan at the Biltmore Caberet, and as always he put on an excellent and highly entertaining show. Not only did he entertain with his amazing singing ability but also interacted directly with the audience.

    Jay made my Sunday!

    by cmdp80 on 2010-11-26Lee's Palace - Toronto

In this day and age of Autotune, it's such a pleasure to see true musicians who actually sound just as good (and better) as their recordings. To add to it, Jay has an awesome sense of humour, a great connection to the audience and, let's face it, isn't hard on the eyes. Can't wait for him to come back again!

    Awesome awesome wOOOt!

    by Jared575 on 2010-11-25Biltmore Cabaret - VANCOUVER

Except for the part where we almost froze to death outside waiting because we read the tickets wrong and arrove at 7:15pm it was great! Even with that we sat in the hotel lobby to warm up and saw Jay come in and head up to his hotel lobby. Nice casual enviroment. Great singers with great senses of humour. Autographs and pictures. What more could you ask for?

    5 stars!

    by Callie12 on 2010-11-24Lee's Palace - Toronto

That was one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Second only to a Terence Trent Darby concert I saw in the 80's. It was so intimate you felt like you were just sitting at a house party where someone picks up a guitar and starts playing. Jay sure is funny for a misanthrope. Loved his rant about Air Canada. But it's his voice and lyrics that kill me. When he sang goddamned you could have heard a pin drop. Completely mesmerizing. I wanted to follow him to Montreal the next night.

    One of the very best.

by JamieLeeCurtiz on 2010-11-23Lee's Palace - Toronto

I am a music lover and a singer/songwriter myself. So I see a lot of shows and there are a LOT that do not impress me. Jay Brannan was not one of those. :) Effortlessly charming, funny, sweet and just a little "bad", he had the audience wrapped around his finger. His performances were utterly pitch-perfect and his guitar-playing fantastic. He was also very interactive, taking a lot of time to talk to the crowd during his set, and even coming out into the crowd afterwards to talk to ALL of his fans, and provide autographs and pose for photos. A brilliant singer/songwriter, a trailblazer and a total class act. (Also, our particular show was opened by Sook-Yin Lee, who also appeared in the film "Shortbus" along with Jay Brannan. While less vocally talented and with less songwriting ability, she was still very lovable, passionate and highly entertaining). A fantastic evening.

Jay is a true singer/songwriter! AWESOME!

by murky on 2010-11-23Lee's Palace - Toronto

First Sook-Yin Lee as an Opener! Doesn't get better she has a gorgeous style to her voice and is Hilarious! I've never heard her sing before who knew she had so much talent. Then Jay just blows me away. Such a beautiful tone to his voice and so much emotion in every song he sings. I didn't want the concert to end. Only thing I wish it was at a venue where there was seating for everyone. Lee's Palace not the best for that.

    Jay Brannan always fantastic

    by Brian1 on 2010-11-23Lee's Palace - Toronto

Another great great show by Jay this time at Lee's Palace. His songs are even more beautiful and touching in person. His banter with the crowd was funny and sweet and the crowd was fun to be around. even if you have all his songs it's worth seeing in person.

    Jay Is a Must See!!

by Nichea on 2010-07-08El Mocombo - Toronto

I saw Jay live in Toronto at the El ..I wish he was on longer!! I love his music and he is the best live.. It was un-equalled performance and I've seen several bands live before. If you like music that is creative, and well written..he's a singer's singer..he's the best! You really do have to see him or download his music..it's worth the money either way!:)
