JEFF GUTT IN CONCERT:
Two-time X Factor contestant Jeff Gutt made it onto the show not once but twice, winning over judges two years in a row with soaring renditions of classics like "Amazing Grace" and emotional ballads like Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." Transitioning adeptly between hushed passages and arena rock-ready choruses, Gutt also became a favorite with fans for the sincerity of his performances and the occasional glimpse he provided into his hard rock past. Whether he's covering Queen or treating fans to original material like "Bittersweet," Gutt always takes the stage with showmanship and charisma to spare, and his latest tour dates will be no different.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in suburban Detroit, Gutt started performing in high school with his band Innerfaith before moving on to stints with bands Dry Cell and Acrylic. After nearly 20 years of tireless recording and performing, he made it on to the second season of reality talent competition The X Factor in 2012, receiving four unanimous "yes" votes from the judges for his spectacular rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." Despite being eliminated just a few weeks later, he returned to the show the following year, once again impressing the judges and landing a spot on Season 3. Things were slightly different the second time around -- Gutt's stunning rendition of "Amazing Grace" set the tone for a tremendous run on the show that carried him all the way to second place. After leaving the show as runner-up, Gutt quickly formed a band and released new material, proving he's more than ready to take advantage of his newfound fame and setting big expectations for his upcoming tour dates.
