About

JERRY LEWIS LIVE:

Jerry Lewis is a comedic living legend with a long history of entertainment under his belt -- at 87 years old, the multitalented jokester takes the stage with the same vitality and charisma he possessed when he started over seven decades ago, sporting a classic black suit and a big grin. Whether he's performing animated stand-up routines, singing his hit "It All Depends on You," or sharing fond memories of yesteryear, Lewis proves he's an all-around entertainer, making audience members feel more like old friends than spectators. It's been over 70 years since he made his debut, but Lewis' humor and wit are still sharp as ever, and he'll have fans falling out of their seats on his latest tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Jerry Lewis has always had a knack for comedy, playing pranks on his neighbors at a young age and performing mime routines at 15. He launched his career in the late '40s, teaming up with Dean Martin for their comedy shows and earning a cult fan base along the way. During the '50s the duo achieved widespread success with live television appearances and their own comedic film series, but their newfound fame ultimately strained their friendship and led them to pursue solo careers. Since then, Lewis has acted in over  60 films, sung hit tracks like "Rock-A-Bye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody," performed in a number of Broadway musicals, and penned three novels.  Back on tour, the always-cheerful Lewis will have fans in amazement as he shares his many talents at his upcoming shows.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"At 87, Jerry is still sharp, funny, and full of love for his fans. The audience loved him and he loved being there!"

"It was so exciting for everyone in the audience to realize they were in a room with greatness. Jerry Lewis has and will always be THE undisputed king of comedy. Everyone else may come close but still pales in comparison...Jerry is still on top of his comedy and a true artist and humanitarian."

"It was fantastic to see Jerry Lewis grab laughs and roam through old memories. He's a national treasure."

    Jerry Lewis

by Cetbal on 2012-04-16Casino Rama - Rama

It's so sad that there were so many naive people there asking stupid questions during the Q & A period. It's also unfortunate that Jerry was only on for 1.5 hrs approximately. He seemed to get irritated very quickly, then again he's 86 and has seen more than his share in venues. Oh well at least I can say I shook the hand of an icon after the show was over.

    Jerry Lewis Live In Concert

by MyNick on 2012-04-16Casinorama - Orillia

It was enjoyable to see this icon. I grew up with him. He still has his wit as he sang, told jokes, and reminisced of yester year of his friends. It was especially nice when he set up microphones in the audience and took their questions.

Jerry still the King of Comedy

by MarkMacDonald on 2012-04-15Casino Rama - Rama

I heard Jerry Lewis was coming to Rama and I thought it must be someone new of the same name considering Jerry's recent health issues. I confirmed it was indeed him and quickly purchased tickets but had no idea of what to expect from a man of his age. When I walked into the auditorium to see a full big band set up I knew it was going to be good. The band played their intro and Jerry came out looking great. He did some of his old shtick jokes, pantomime and songs. His timing is excellent. He engaged the audience with biographical anecdotes, stories and showed some great video footage of some classic Jerry moments including his reunion with Dean Martin which was facilitated by Frank Sinatra during the 1976 MDA Telethon. He offered a question period which could have been better managed or pre-screened but it did provide for some spontaneity and good humour. Jerry Lewis is 86 years old and has still got it! The show ran around 90 minutes which is half an hour more than I expected of him. If you grew up with his movies and religiously watched the telethon every labour day weekend I highly recommend you go see this legend before your only opportunity will be at his visitation.
