Well Judus was AMAZING ~ But Ted Neeley it is time to give it up because you are to old to play that part. He voice as well as his look have aged to much for this role. Other then that the ensemble was very good and polished!
I grew up watching the movie and took my mom to this for Christmas. It was amazing! Ted Neely was back playing Jesus and they had the BEST Judas possible since the original! I would have loved to have seen it again but it was only in town for 3 days.
I absolutely LOVED it!! Ted Neely still Has IT!! My son and I watch the DVD every Easter as we do "The Christmas Carol" at Christmas. I got tickets from my son for Christmas and was blown away because I had seen the ads on TV and kept thinking how I'd love to see, but, knew I couldn't as no one else would take me in to Edmonton. I will not drive the QE2!!!! LOL! This show was beyond my expectations! Please tell the cast how wonderful they are IF that is ever possible. I would see it again, and again if I could. That is something I rarely do...once I see something, I don't feel the need to see it again....not this production! BRAVO!! BRAVO!! BRAVO!! Like a young lady hollered from our first balcony......"THANKS TED"!!!!
I was really excited about seeing this musical having been a fan of the music and the 1973 film as well as loving most Tim Rice Andrew Lloyd Webber productions. However, I found that Ted Neeley a very distracting Jesus. It was difficult to get absorbed into the production when Jesus looks so much older then his disciples. As well I found that his performance was more of a wise old man then the fiery passionate Christ of the film. The other performances were fantastic. I particularly loved the costumes during Jesus Christ Super Star.

was very pleased with the show this was my third time seeing it Ted neely can still belt it out wow fabulous!!!!!! getting a little harder for him to play a 33 year old though he is looking a little frail. i really miss Carl anderson, the new judus does have a great voice but just wasnt the same. dont get me started with mary magdelane she was an ok singer but she looked like snow white from disney not a prostitute. very disappointed in that casting. over all the show was fabulous.Hopefully will be able to see it again before ted neely plays the part of his dad (GOD) haha
Ted Neely and cast were awesome! Mr. Neely has the most incredible voice. Took me back to 1973.
The cast was great.They really seem to be enjoying themself. However the stage view was not what we paid for.
