About

Jhené Aiko is an alternative R&B singer from Los Angeles, California. After getting her start as a backing vocalist for ’00s boy band B2K, Aiko’s breakthrough came with her 2011 mixtape Sailing Soul(s). Her debut EP, Sail Out, followed in 2013 and contained the singles “3:16AM,” “Bed Peace” featuring Childish Gambino and “The Worst.” Further albums in Aiko’s discography include her 2014 debut full-length Souled Out, her 2017 sophomore effort Trip and 2020’s Chilombo which earned the artist three Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. In 2023, Aiko released her single “Calm & Patient,” which likely serves as a precursor to her upcoming and as-yet-untitled fourth album.

    Very unprofessional

by stickingwithyoutube on 2014-12-21Sound Academy - Toronto

The whole setting of the concert was unprofessional. It took a half an hour to set up with the different bands who were performing with all three artists before the singers (The Internet, Sza and Jhene) came on to sing. Jhene Aiko came out to perform 10 minutes to 11 which is two hours after the opening acts performed.

Enter The Void has my heart!

by Quirxxx on 2014-12-21Sound Academy - Toronto

Enjoyed all three of them! Syd's vocals was on point as usual. Sza was effortlessly sexy. And Jhene was JHENE...amazing! All bands for each act were brilliantly talented.
