    Jon Stewart says it all!!

by Foshkh on 2010-06-21The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Jon Stewart is an incredibly insightful political commentator/comedian, but he's not always just about politics: some of his comments can be deep, and his comedy hilarious. I like how he appeals to a diverse group of people without being unfairly one-sided. He has a knack for being able to explain and analyze very complex issues in a simple and comedic way. I would highly recommend seeing Jon Stewart for people who like meaningful comedy. It was time well spent. We wished we could have gotten an autograph.

Jon Stewart knocks it out of the park!

by Kodakmoney on 2010-06-21The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Leaving the Fallsview Avalon Ballroom there was a buzz. Comments like; "That was great!", "He is excellent!' My ribs are sore from laughing!" These were just some of the great comments heard. Mr. Stewart provided great insight, thought provoking commentary in an upbeat and humble manner. Switching from sarcasism to synicism to envy of his young son dancing at Sponge Bob, it was a great evening! The Daily Show star showed his talents for an hour and a half keeping the full house constantly entertained! Well done!

Jon Stewart was funny, but over-political to me

by StepherC on 2010-06-20The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

I had seen Jon Stewart when he did stand up at Casino Rama in 2006, and I remember laughing so hard that my abs and cheeks hurt for the whole show. This time around at the Avalon Ballroom he had some exceptionally funny moments, but I found he fixated too much on the political stuff (that we already see regularly on his show). He went into detail about Bush and Cheney (which seemed out of date for June 2010). The crowd was making comments about it, so he did talk to what the audience seemed to want, but I know when I watched him in the past I found him much funnier when he didn't discuss serious things, but rather mundane things of his everyday life, like the horribly hilarious bit he did about his dog getting ill from overeating... and I'll stop there. He seemed empassioned (is that a word) and almost angry about the US government's inefficiency, but it would have been a funnier show with less serious topics and more just random funny tidbits. Some unfortunate soul passed gas right at a silent moment, and that led to quite a long (but hilarious bit) as he talked about it. (What can I say, it was really really funny). He also tried to get in a few local comments, referring to our popular national coffee chain, Wayne Gretzky, etc., but nothing too intense. It was funny when he talked about how polite Canadians are. I heckled him (nicely) about wearing the ascot he mocked on his show... he did acknowledge the heckle but that was it. Anyway, overall a funny show, too political but still a good time.

Really entertaining! Same type of humour as on The Daily Show. He's great!

    Funny guy.... old jokes.

by Chipsawa on 2010-06-20The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Very funny man and obviously insightful. Very interactive with audience but could have been so much better. Jon has definately dusted off the 'old stuff' for this little tour and it really showed. Don't get me wrong... Mr. Stewart is good at what he does but what he did on this night needs to be updated. Case in point - Y2K jokes... really? Cheney shoots man in face?... Still? Seemed like a hightlight real from old Daily shows at times. Come on Jon... try harder... you were almost upstaged by a flatuant heckler.

    Jon Stewart was great!

by sorenkkg on 2010-06-20The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Just classic Jon. Discussed political stuff, did some "cheney" and "bush" bits, talked about the oil spill, the difference between canadians and US, interacted with the audience quite a bit. Did a classic bit on "jews and blacks", and got huge laughs on a pinata bit. Just great to see him live.

    Jon Stewart was great

by LondonMom on 2010-06-20The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

The show was everything I expected it to be. Witty, intelligent, topical humour. If you haven't seen him, you are missing out.
