Joseph & .... Dreamcoat was so Enjoyable!!

by mellowdec2009 on 2010-01-04Festival Place - Sherwood Park

My daughter and I attended this event and found that it was such a stress reliever for the time just before Christmas Day. We laughed so hard during this production!!! It was just what we needed. We loved the costumes, the characters and everything about it. This was my first production that I attended at Festival Place and I would definitely go again. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

    Best I have Seen

by taffeta on 2010-01-04Festival Place - Sherwood Park

It was a very talented cast and they were very enthusiastic. They were by far the best performers I have seen. I have seen a lot of professional shows. It was a wonderful show!

Joseph was a fun filled evening!

by Chriscicle on 2010-01-04Festival Place - Sherwood Park

This play was lots of fun! The main roles were very well cast with strong performers, especially the part of the narrator. She was definately the biggest strength of the night. Joseph's role was also quite well done. There were a few weaker actors, dancers and singers is some of the supporting roles, but they did not really affect the over-all production very negatively. Several years ago, I did see the Joseph production that cast Donny Osmond at the Jubilee and fell in love with this particular musical. I have been singing along with the CD ever since! Despite the difference in production scale, I think this smaller production held up very well in comparison!!!

    Joseph Rocked

by dougster on 2010-01-04Festival Place - Sherwood Park

We saw the last performance of "Joseph". I had previously seen the professional production back in '93 with Donny Osmond. Although my memory of that is a bit fuzzy, this performance was right up there. A very fun show, with the funny bits performed in the suitably funny, campy style and the serious moments delivered very well. Highlights for me was Joseph - a great job, good singing and hammed it up sufficiently to be seen in the balcony.

    Joseph production was very cool!

by dsfarms on 2010-01-04Festival Place - Sherwood Park

what a great production and a very talented cast!! There was alot of hard work put into this and it shows. The theater is small but very cozy and almost every seat is a good seat. The major downfall is the sound system which popped and cracked a few times which took away from all the great effort.

The play was very well done! It is too bad that the venue wasn't a little larger. We would have liked to attended the play a second time but we were unable to get tickets. Some of the costumes were a bit scant. I think all the girls could have wore the little gold skirts that 3 or 4 of the girls wore. The orchestra was very good and we enjoyed them very much.

    A five star event

by sparky142 on 2009-12-30Festival Place - Sherwood Park

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was definitely a five star event. There was loads of energy given off from the entire cast . The singing, costumes, scenery changes and music was constantly on the go. There were surprises everywhere. A true joy.

    Amazing Musical

by Aveo on 2009-12-28Festival Place - Sherwood Park

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a wonderful example of the depth of local talent in the Edmonton area. The young man who played Joseph has an incredible voice and played the role with a great deal of energy. Congratulations to Shelley Tookey for presenting such an entertaining production.
