About

Justin Bieber on Tour

He's descended from the rafters attached to giant angel wings made of speaker parts. He's also held court to seas of screaming fans while sitting on a stool with an acoustic guitar. He's danced madly on EDM festival stages while backed by wild bass kicked out by Diplo and Skrillex, and he's faced off with Questlove in a live drum battle. He is, of course, Justin Bieber — the Canadian-born singer, songwriter, musician and world's biggest pop star, period. His debut concert tour, 2010's My World Tour, launched when he was 16, sold 1.4 million tickets and grossed $53 million. Although he's taken the occasional hiatus from the spotlight, Bieber was a seasoned performer before he was old enough to vote. At the heart of that success is an immense talent (both vocal and instrumental) initially tailor-made to court a global fan base of fervent tweens and kids. But as Bieber grew up, so did his taste and perspective. In tandem with setting Guinness World Records for streams, sales, radio plays, social media followers and video views, the boy became a man in public and on record — his celebrated fourth and fifth albums, 2015's Purpose and 2020's Changes, found him shedding a bubblegum background for new sonic frontiers and critical acclaim.

Justin Bieber in Concert

Justin Drew Bieber was born in London, Ontario, in 1994, and raised in low-income housing by the single mother who would share one of his earliest performances on YouTube in 2006, kicking off one of the most storied careers in music history. His talent was evident early on — Bieber was playing the drums at 2, and singing not long after. By the time he was 12, he was able to earn $3,000 busking in front of his town's theater during tourist season. Within a year of that, he'd been discovered by future music mogul Scooter Braun and introduced to Usher. Management and record deals followed, and Bieber and his mother moved to Atlanta to start building his future. In 2009, Bieber's debut EP, My World, dropped and went platinum within a month. All seven of its songs ended up in the Billboard Hot 100, paving the way for appearances on Ellen, at the White House and on Taylor Swift's tour. Up through 2012's Believe, with its single "Boyfriend," Bieber continued to project youthful optimism and innocent romance, but his career was effectively relaunched in 2015 after he teamed with Jack Ü to release "Where Are Ü Now," an edgy EDM track that found him expressing doubt and lamenting loss. That song, along with his similarly oriented "What Do You Mean?", set the stage for Purpose, a coming-of-age album that explored spirituality, struggle and mature love. Collaborations followed across dance (Major Lazer's "Cold Water"), Latin (Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito"), rap (DJ Khaled's "I'm the One"), country (Dan + Shay's "10,000 Hours") and alternative pop (Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy"), culminating in 2020's appropriately named, fully grown offering, Changes.

    Justice Tour

    by AC on 2022-09-06

I saw the recent news that the world tour is suspended. If that's the case, why not just cancel it and give us back our refunds instead of waiting? I was also expecting to attend one of his concerts in June, but due to Justin's mental and physical health, I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. Hope he is fully recovered.

    Can’t wait.

    by N.K on 2022-08-29

I’ve never gotten the chance to see Justin live, ever. I’ve been a belieber since 2009 and haven’t had a single real fan experience due to MANY different reasons. I wasn’t living in North America before, now I am. Not only that, I’m Canadian just like him. I’ve been trying for so long to have a real fan experience whether it’s go to his show or support his works or even be an audience member when he’s being interviewed! Just trying to do anything to show love and support. Justin’s been through so much and was so so young when he debuted, I always worried and kept him in my thoughts and prayers. Alhmduliallah he’s doing better now and I will do everything in my POWER to be the first to get tickets for his show once he’s back home in Canada. Love you so much Justin! You’re the best!

    VIP experience!

by Michelle and Autumn on 2022-05-31

I bought my daughter VIP tickets and 2nd row seats for her birthday 2 years ago so we’ve been waiting a long time for this night! Seating arrangements were changed on us due to covid and we got upgraded to front row center so that was incredible in itself! The VIP experience was amazing and unreal. Met a lot of really great people there! Only thing that was upsetting was that our package was supposed to include our pics WITH Justin. Even if we all had to wear a mask, I would have been ok with that lol. I just wanted my daughter to meet him so bad as she’s been a HUGE fan since she was a little girl (she’s now 22 lol). ANYWAYS… I was never really a huge JB fan myself and I literally only went for my daughter, but I tell you, I walked away a HUGE fan now myself! He puts on an INCREDIBLE show. He did seem a little down that night but still managed to put on an amazing performance. Singing, dancing, literally everything was outstanding! I’m so grateful I got to share this experience with my girl. It seriously was the BEST concert I’ve ever been to in my entire life! And that’s saying alot as I’ve been to several of MY favourite artists and they couldn’t top THIS lol. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone! All ages will enjoy this show! 10/10 👍🏼

Didn’t want to be there? Not the Changes tour <\3

    by Meigjen on 2022-05-02

Wore sunglasses and hockey gloves for majority of show. Felt impersonal vibe regardless of reason for the fashion statement. Partner and I were debating if Justin had been injured pre-show since he moved around so little when performing or changing places on the stage. Genuinely seemed to not want to be there. Progressed a little near the end and seemed more comfortable. Removed his glasses and we got to share in some emotion on his face, which the fans appreciated. Great voice but the least enthusiastic artist I’ve seen. I did recently see Hailey underwent a small stroke / hole in her heart just weeks before this concert (so sorry but happy all is well). Maybe stress? We speculated and in the end knew either way, this wasn’t the tour we’d been looking so forward to (Changes, beaut album). As avid music lovers who feel $$ is never wasted on live music performances : we felt bad for those in the closer rows paying even bigger bucks to see him. Was already disappointed about the F1 for Bin Salman too 💔. RIP Khashoggi
