Kevin James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, he signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom.
The King of Queens, which premiered in 1998, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show concluded its run in 2007 but continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world. James also starred in, and executive produced The Crew, a sitcom set in the world of NASCAR and is currently developing a single camera comedy (both for Netflix).
James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. Kevin James and Ray Romano executive produced and starred in the HBO Sports Special Making the Cut: The Road to Pebble Beach; a documentary about the Pebble Beach Pro Am Golf Tournament that was nominated for a Sports Emmy. His second comedy special Never Don't Give Up premiered on Netflix to critical acclaim.
James was the producer, co-writer, and star of the hit comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop 1 & 2, Zookeeper, and Here Comes The Boom. James made his feature film debut in Columbia Pictures' Hitch starring opposite Will Smith, and starred alongside Adam Sandler in Pixels, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and Hubie Halloween. He starred in the feature True Memoirs of an International Assassin for Netflix, the independent action thriller Becky, and starred in and produced Home Team for Netflix.
The show was non-stop laughs! Very clean jokes. Everyone will laugh! I would see another Kevin James stand-up comedy show in the future.
This was my First time seeing Kevin James in concert and it was totally worth it. Him and his cousin were just to chill and funny. Their humour is like me and my boyfriends humour so it was perfect. I kept laughing long after the show was done because the relatable things he was saying were just soo funny. I would totally see him again in concert. Good job Kevin James. P.s I love the fact that he didn't have to use one swear word to make any of his jokes funny.
Kevin James & Gary Valentine were such an amazing show. Non stop laughing.. Hilarious. Would see them again for sure & recommend them.
His cousin on the king of queens "Gary Valentine" did an okay job with a short intro. Kevin started off a little slow but really brought the laughter in the middle and in the end. Well worth it but I may stay out of the m sections if you want to see their faces.
I loved Kevin James's stand-up show at Casino Rama. His material was funny and he has an easy and comfortable demeanour that makes for a very enjoyable show. It's also refreshing to see someone who doesn't feel the need to be obscene and profane to be entertaining. Gary Valentine was a great opener too.
One of the most hilarious shows. My husband and I laughed to Gary and Kevin's acts. We will definitely go next time he's in the area. Good seats, but would have preferred closer. A two hour drive from St Thomas well worth it! Sold out show, they did not disappoint.
The show opened with Gary Valentine. He did a pretty good job getting everyone ready for the main act, Kevin James. Kevin was very funny and kept everyone engaged and laughing almost non stop. All of his jokes were tasteful and contained no vulgar language. Definately would see him again.
What a fun night-totally relaxing and entertaining. The evening started with Gary Valentine. He has appeared on many shows with Kevin James. An excellent opening act. Gary was very funny. The laughter just continued with Kevin James. My husband wanted to see & hear him. We are so glad we got tickets for him. It was an evening of non-stop laughter, mixed in with story telling. If you get an opportunity to see Kevin James do it-you will not regret it.
Both Gary Valentine and Kevin James put on a hilarious show and left us laughing long after it was all over.
They were both so funny, the show was clean, laughed for 1.5hrs straight, would go see them again.
