    Lynch Mob with Killinger

by Rockdude on 2010-08-28Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

George Lynch was, and still is the GUITAR LEGEND I've always listened to. His guitar, like an extension of his being , just flows the notes he envisions and feels.. It was truly an amazing experience to watch him play live finally!! I really enjoyed listening to Killinger's lead singer ROCK with a voice that comes from my roots in the 80's. Very powerful and melodic.

    Lynch Mob/Killinger bad sound

by Musiclover9999999 on 2010-08-28Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

The bands played great but the mix was horrible, all drums and it was very hard to hear the guitar players. It sucked and whoever mixed this gig should be fired.

    Killinger rocked, Lynch Mob failed!!

    by Wolf5150 on 2010-08-27Flames Central - Calgary

Killinger put on a great rock show, high energy, amazing vocals, these guys have real talent!! Had a short meet and greet with the singer and got an autograph, super nice guy. These guys certainly have the potential to make it big, and I hope they do. As for Lynch Mob, well, I'm sort of at a loss, when I heard the line up ( George Lynch of course on guitar, James Lomenzo on bass, and Marc Torien (ex bullet boys) on vocals) I was thinking this is going to be amazing. The first few songs were good, with all the guys at their best, but then they did a makeshift cover of the Jackson 5's I'll be there, which totally killed the energy in the crowd, then went on to have a jam session of sorts that went on for about 10 mins per song, no vocals, just the individual band members sort of doing their own thing and looking totally confused during the process. I noticed the bar emptying rather quickly at this point. They only did a few Lynch Mob hits, a few Dokken hits, a few off the new album ( to which Torien didn't know the words so the drummer filled in) and some badly thrown together covers. Finally they closed with Wicked sensation which unfortunately failed to revive the bored crowd, honestly for a line up of this caliber, I have to say I was totally disappointed. I'd see Killinger again any day, but I'll pass on Lynch Mob next time, what a shame.
