    Had a great time!

by Brendan on 2019-12-11Edmonton Convention Centre (formerly Shaw Conference Centre) - Edmonton

I always have a great time at KO boxing. I appreciate the opportunity to see live fights in Edmonton. The fight cards are always entertaining, I've seen some great knockouts. KO needs to get more fights televised! That's how I found out about these events back in 2014.

    RELENTLESS

by SaintAlbertCraig on 2013-12-09Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton

A great live boxing event! Totally hooked, far better than I ever imagined. Shaw Conference is a great venue. The security guys were extremely polite and helpful. There was also a huge range of attendees from families to wannabe fighters. The only draw back was that the hours just flew by. I will definitely go again.

    Promote More Boxing to Canada

by Fredsofine on 2012-09-19Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton

This is my first live pro boxing experience. I love it because there are more Edmontonians who were given a chance to fight.

    Card was on Fire

by BoxingFanBrad on 2012-01-26Shaw Conference - Edmonton

The Fire and Ice boxing card on December 9 was on fire. The main event was crazy. Jelena Mrdjenovich in a rubber match with Olivia Gerula was one of the best fights I have seen in a long time. It ended with jelena using a left hook to knock Gerula out for about 10 minutes. One of the best knock outs I have ever seen. Rest of the card was good except for the semi main event where the one guy kept low blowing his opponent and it ended in an disqualification. All in all can't wait for the next one

KO Boxing- Show of Force (was at full force)

by Tonezzz on 2011-10-09Shaw Conference Centre - Edmonton

A descent night of boxing to begin despite the first round knock-out of the first bout I had missed preoccupied momentarily browsing through the crowd for potential Ring Girls after receiving word from the Ring Announcer there would be no scantily dressed Women to flaunt their hour glass framed bodies, holding up signs to indicate the round. The situation was soon solved with volunteer Ring Girls in from the crowd, luckily they were attractive 'phew'.Okay now to the important matter the fights. Well there was solid action throughout the night, however none of the matches were nearly as competitive and exhilarating as the Main Event which topped off the night Tye Fields 36 (47-4-0) vs. Raphael Butler 27 (34-9-0) coming into the bout scheduled 10 rounds. The fight filled with plenty of back and forth action Butler landing a stiff blow in the first round shocking the crowd .Fields regained his composure though on wobbly legs for the round managing to recover easily with a little clinching. Fields eventually concede to box to win instead of brawl a wise choice. Working behind an active jab disturbing Butler's advancing Fields pinned Butler against the ropes. Despite Butlers impressive versatile defensive skill consisting of parries, slipping and cross-blocking the pressure began to overwhelm.Fields impressed with relentless combinations lining the the target with jab.Butler frozen on the ropes summoned one last effort a hurling upper-cut missing by inches, before succumbing to the onslaught as refer Len Koivisto stopped the bout 2:37 in the sixth round. An exciting fight that made noise not just the crowd the thudding of the gloves to.

Except for the main event, the other bouts were a joke.
