About

KODALINE IN CONCERT:

Dublin-based rockers Kodaline are quickly rising to the top, exhilarating fans worldwide with their catchy pop tunes and infectious energy. Inspired by love and heartbreak, Kodaline's rich sound is packed with emotion, often striking a chord with fans during their live shows. Whether they're belting out hits like "High Hopes" or covering Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' "Same Love," the band pour heart and soul into their electric live performances, and their upcoming tour will be no different as they treat fans to hits from their No. 1 debut album In A Perfect World.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Kodaline got their start when childhood friends Steve Garrigan and Mark Prendergast brought their guitars to a summer camp in Dublin, spending the days penning songs together. Originally performing under the name 21 Demands, the duo added Jason Boland (bass guitar) and Vinny May (drums) to the lineup, forming Kodaline in 2011. Since then, the band has had a successful run with their 2013 double-platinum debut In A Perfect World, which peaked at No. 1 in their native Ireland and spawned two Top 10 hits. They've played massive sold-out shows and a number of festivals, earning a cult following in their short time together. The band return to the stage alongside Kings of Leon and Justin Timberlake for their upcoming shows, delighting audiences with fan-favorites along the way.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Best concert I've been to in a long time. Very talented lads. I was sorry when it was over; could have listened to them all night!!"

"They put on such an unforgettable show and were so humble to be performing to 15,000 people in their hometown. It was breathtaking to be part of a crowd that was in awe of Kodaline."

"Kodaline were excellent. They sounded brilliant live, it was even better than listening to them on CD. Overall I would highly recommend their concert and I will definitely be going to their next gig!"

Kodaline - destined for bigger and better shows!

by Guy764 on 2015-05-25The Garrick Centre - Winnipeg

Let me preference this by saying I'm not a young man. I've been around a while and I've seen many "new" bands who were one hit wonders and others who made the big times. Kodaline is definitely not a "one hit wonder". In a few years, as they fill the stands in the major venues of North America, Europe and the rest of the world, we'll look back fondly at when they were just a small band with a big sound, playing in our local theaters. Great music, great vocals and one talented group of musicians. Simply amazing - and they keep their heads about them will surely play the bigger venues with thousands or maybe millions of fans. I can't wait to see them again!

    Sing along with Kodaline :)

by lilaclynn on 2015-04-21Métropolis - Montreal

I bought my tickets to Kodaline with High Hopes since I love their 2 albums. To be Honest, I was blown away by their performance! No playing on Autopilot on stage, they arrived Ready, Coming Alive the second they took the stage, getting Better as each song became a sing along with the audience. It All Comes Down to the great chemistry they shared with their fans. A broken guitar string didn't faze them; a bit of Talk then a Quebec flag was thrown onstage to everyone's delight. It was unfurled & draped on the drumset. Guitar string replaced & Everything Works Out in the End! Moving On, Gavin James was The One to warm up the crowd with his beautiful vocals & acoustic guitar. All I Want is Kodaline's continued success! In a Perfect World, Kodaline will perform One Day in Gatineau!

    An excellent show

by silverslimer on 2015-04-21Métropolis - Montreal

Both Gavin James and Kodaline's lead singer have beautiful voices and the way the audio was set up at the Metropolis allowed us to truly appreciate the band's talent. Highly recommended!

    Kodaline rocked :)

by Rockinsuperstar on 2015-04-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

My friend and I showed up a little late due to traffic issues but we got there in time to hear a ton of Gavin James' songs and all I can say is wow! He was absolutely incredible and I'm so grateful to say I got the chance to hear him because I'm basically obsessed now. Same tone as kodaline's songs which I thought really helped open up for them. Kodaline was awesome! Second time seeing them, (saw them at Osheaga last summer only knowing All I want and High Hopes...none of my friends wanted to go but I forced them and they loved them!). It was my first time getting seats at the Danforth as I usually get GA and I didn't bring my glasses and it was basically my biggest regret ever. They could have definitely played a longer set because they had only played for like an Hour and then announced they were leaving. All in all, great concert and great service at the Danforth as always!

    Absolutely Incredible band!

by Smeagol on 2015-04-19The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

They pour their heart and soul into their music, and are not only talented but love engaging with their audience! Great stage presence, great harmonies, lights are mad, better live than I ever thought possible....but don't see them, I want them all to myself haha. I also got chills during their songs and when the entire room erupted and sang together. Truly incredible , great way to spend an evening after an exam, wish I could have met them in person!

    Loved Them

by InsaneTactics on 2014-02-11The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The energy and performance from this group was superb. I find that they're much better live than a recording studio although that's just my preference. Even had a special request from one of their fans who proposed to his GF she said yes and to top if off Steve sang them a lovely personal song for them was quite the night.
