BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Kygo, aka Kyrre Gorvell-Dahll, was born in Singapore and spent his early childhood traveling the world (his father worked in the maritime industry), but the bulk of his youth was spent in Bergen, Norway. He started playing the piano at age six and began producing electronic music in his teens using Logic Studio and a MIDI keyboard. After a stint studying business and finance at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, he dropped out to pursue music full-time as Kygo. His early singles were popular with Scandinavian audiences, and he gained international recognition in 2014 with his breakthrough single "Firestone." The song climbed charts across Europe, racking up 80 million views on YouTube and earning him remix gigs for major acts like Coldplay and Diplo. Kygo followed up in 2015 with a string of popular singles including "Stole the Show" and "Stay," and in 2016 he released his debut album Cloud Nine. The record was a critical and commercial success, cracking the Top 20 in both the US and UK and leaving fans eager to dance the night away to the new tunes in concert.

by Stevebu123 on 2018-05-05Air Canada Centre - TorontoI took my daughter to this concert to see Black Bear... he was supposed to be the opening act... My daughter loves his music... This was going to be her FIRST concert ever... I wanted it to be special for her seeing her favorite artist...I was extremely upset that Black Bear was not at the show and we were not notified that he would not be there... I thought this was VERY disrespectful. In my opinion Frank Walker was horrible... Fortunately... KYGO was amazing!!! The energy, the lights and pyro were all fantastic. The sound was great the show was great!!! Only complaint was that we did not get to see Black Bear and were very disappointed it was not communicated to us... I found out by trying to purchase a Black Bear shirt at one of the Merch tables and the seller was the one that told me he would not be there and they weren't selling any Merch...

by Anonymous on 2016-10-19Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodThis was our first time watching a concert at Hollywood Bowl and the venue was amazing, the vibe was great. Kygo was amazing and the surprise guests was cherry on the top. Seal singing "Sexual Healing" and Leona Lewis singing "Oasis" were some of the highlights of the evening. Hands down one of the best concerts I have been to!!!

by parsa on 2016-02-05Enercare Centre - TORONTOI absolutely love Kygo. Tropical house is something that i can listen to for hours in a row so hearing him live was truly an awesome experience. I unfortunately missed all the pre-acts and arrived at the arena the exact moment he went on stage. It was an amazing night for my girlfriend and i but the only problem with the show were that he was on for a very short period. Other than that, Kygo is sick sick sick! Also, i loved how he brought 2 guests to actually sing the vocals live.
