Leahy Tickets

We went not entirely sure what to expect as we haven't been in touch as much with their recent music but we weren't disappointed. We would recommend that they introduce themselves and their story early in the night so 'connecting' with them happens sooner than later. It got better as the night went on. Each are incredibly talented musicians and, particularly, Xavier's skill on all instruments blew our minds. It was special to watch!

Donnell is equal to the best fiddlers ever in Canada. It felt like a family get together.

It was my 3rd time to a Leahy concert. Not only do I admire their talent, but I truly enjoy their close knit family spirit. They can do it all... sing, play their instruments well, and dance. Their children accompanied them on this concert, and the display of talent in the next generation was so impressive that it brought tears to many in the audience who gave them a standing ovation at the end. This family is truly gifted. I will definitely go to next year's concert. They have never disapointed me and the Leahy clan just keeps getting bigger and better.

The sound was so loud that the music was distorted and fuzzy. Was it the Sony Center's system or the person doing the mixing? People around me would cover their ears whenever the singer hit a high or loud note. We had the impression that the lead singer asked the sound technician to turn up the volume...It was painful to listen to many of the songs. We bought tickets because we had just seen Natalie McMaster's wonderful show at the Living Arts Center in Mississauga; we love this music and we love this family, so we were very disappointed.

I am always amazed at the energy and talent that family has. They consistently put on a great show. The love they have for their trade shines through every time. And it's the show they put on that makes it so exciting to watch...they don't have to glitz it up with a lot of background glitz and glamour. I Hope they are back next year.

The music was great, the children stole the show. Someone should review the sound system... way too loud - especially the high frequencies. Would strongly recommend that you take ear plugs to dampen sound, so that you can enjoy at a normal level.

This was one of the best introduction to the holidays that I have had. They are a WONDERFUL family, there talent is AMAZING!!! Look forward to seeing them again next year.

A LEAHY FAMILY CHRISTMAS show was well done,and it was excellent to have the kids participating

I've seen Leahy half a dozen times now and they never cease to amaze me - Donnell in particular if I had to centre out just one member of this talented family. Just when you think a particularly rousing tune couldn't go on any further, it's just beginning! Denise has a lovely voice. The songs she sang were truly beautifully done and it appears that her daughter Emily has inherited her Mother's talent. The Christmas show is a wonderful mix of tradition and Celtic 'bounce'. I'm so looking forward to seeing them next year! Bravo Sony Centre for booking them again!
