That Lianne La Havas grew up admiring such magnetic vocalists as Jill Scott and Mary J. Blige comes as no surprise. The 24-year-old London native’s early morning voice melds against a spectrum of classic R&B and pop influences, effecting a vibrant blend of neo-soul that is simultaneously new and familiar. The result garnered Havas’ debut album, Is Your Love Big Enough? the title of iTunes Album of The Year in 2012.
Lianne La Havas is a force of nature, a brilliant singer, musician, performer and songwriter. She sounds better live than recorded and that says a lot because her records are marvelous. She has one of the most beautiful and expressive voices I have ever heard. The melodies and lyrics in her songs are so rich and emotional. The band sounded great too.I look forward to seeing her again,hopefully very soon!
Seeing Lianne La Havas for the third time, was as amazing as seeing her the first time when she opened for Bon Iver and the moment I fell in love with her talent. She now celebrates two Albums and an EP and inspires me to tap into my own talents! She sings without reservation, puts her heart literally on her sleeve and gives everyone the best performance she knows she can give. Hands down, one of my favourite performers in LIFE!
The show was phenomenal - Lianne has an authentic quiet charm that radiates from the stage. Her voice is phenomenal and her band spectacular. Not a dull moment in her whole set - which was over 90 mins!
The UK songstress' voice filled the entire Danforth Music Hall from the floors to the ceiling. I will go see Lianne again and again and hope next time she's in town she's at a similar theatre-style venue.
Amazing show, saw her for the second time and was still blown away. First time at this venue and I really enjoyed it. Even general admission would be fine because the floor is slanted towards the stage (everyone could see).
If you have the opportunity to see Lianne live, it is a must. Admittedly, I wasn't sure how the album (which I love) would translate into a live setting, but she was sensational. She has such a contagious spirit & enthusiasm, it's impossible not to love her. And that incredible voice is stunning live. She is sweet & humble and was genuinely captivating.

It was amazing. Lianne was great! Would definitely see her again when she comes back to Toronto. She sounds even better live and she's sounds pretty good on her album. She engaged with the audience, she was very friendly and sweet.

Saw her last night for the first time and it was amazing! I own her album "is your love big enough" and she literally sounds better live. And she sounds amazing on her album. Her voice is so powerful. She interacted quite a bit with the audience and I found her personality very sweet. She has pure and raw talent. Can't wait until she comes to Vancouver again!
