It was just ok, but the art was great!
by JLO29 on 2014-10-30Downtown Las Vegas - Las VegasWell, I've been to a few festivals and many concerts before. The layout here was simultaneously kind of neat but after a while kind of annoying and having it all on concrete meant those people, like myself, who are happy to enjoy comfortably from afar don't get a place to sit and enjoy unless they want to get a sore bum! The foods: some were great, some were meh, there were some that were definitely a fair price and some, such as Nobu that were highly overpriced for a very mediocre product. The art: amazing! I am a lover of the arts and I loved the gallery, the installations, the street type art, all of it! Just a beautiful idea. The music: honestly, pretty mediocre overall. Some pretty mid to lower level bands for the price. Kanye headlining the first day? no thank you. The smaller bands were often not very good and for any extras you had to pay extra, kind of silly. I really enjoyed Head and the Heart, Outkast, and Skrillex. Lionel Ritchie was interesting to see but more as a retro 'wow my parents played this' than as a show I would actually want to pay to see. Overall I think the musical lineup was the weakest part of this concert. I enjoyed myself and had some good times but I wouldn't fly all the way to Vegas for this again unless they got some better musical talent.
