Of all the concerts my wife & I have attended this would be in the top 3! They never stopped from start to end & the music range was fantastic!! Anyone who did not make the show missed out great performances by all.
This is the 6th time we have seen this group live. 3 times at Rama Casino in Canada and in the 3 times USA . They are truly wonderful performers they put on a fabulous show. LOVE hearing them sing all their hit records and any other songs. Enjoy the banter and history about their songs and the group.
This act really lacked orgainization. It is one thing to have a little spontaneity but the endless mindless chatter between songs was annoying and seemed to be a time filler. The humor was very weak and at times insulting. ...Canadians come from a smaller, colder place than you Americans but we really don't want to be made fun of for it. Also the inuneudos about masturbation....were disturbing at best......not very funny. The constant tripping back to have drinks and chat with band members was very distracting and seemed to suggest you were all pretty bored being there.....in backwoods Canada. The first song All By Myself.....how depressing....could there be a more downer song ever writtien. The near begging of the audience to buy you cd was embarrassing.. You should have stuck with your music....the a capella songs were outstanding. Many of the songs were well performed. You guys are musicians and do not do well at small chat....stick with the music or get an outside writer to put together a cohesive, tasteful, non insulting script. I hope you read this and improve your act.
From when Little Anthony arrived on the stage, it was just go go go. It was high energy, funny, but mostly the music was the best. I don't think I sat still through the whole show, I think they call it seat dancing. We've seen them several times, the first being in the early 70's and the times they've been to Casino Rama. Next time they perform at Casino Rama, we'll be there. Meeting them after the show was worth the wait, which in retrospect wasn't that long, as they had changed their clothes and were relaxed, say about 20-25 minutes.
Great Show! Liitle Anthony and the Imperials can sure still belt it out. Enjoyed the whole show including some of the comedic dialogue, too. The back up band was really good. They should have been introduced as well along with Little A and the I's. Wish there was another camera involved to follow the group.
