by Python46 on 2013-07-08Red Robinson'e Show Theatre - Coquitlam, British Columbia, Thursday May 30, 2013

A spectacular evening with the Stars from Vancouver's and Canada's vast Classic Rock Alumni. The Powder Blues Band, Lee Aaron, Jerry Doucette, Ray Roper Project, StoneBolt, with Ray Roper and David Wills, Frank Soda and The Max Webster Boys, Terry Watkinson and Mike Tilka, Al Harlow of Prism, James Buddy Rogers, with too many supporting artists I just could not keep up with everyone. Mike Reno could not MC and a guest MC'd. Sorry only room for six photos. Ray Roper was an organizer of the show and all artists helped with putting on a great event! All the acts played to a very tight schedule as there were so many great performers. Getting to see greats like the always sweet Lee Aaron doing songs from her Body Rock Album, 'Whatcha Do To My Body", Al Harlow of Prism fame did hits and Jerry Doucette too did his greatest. They Rocked the rafters with all these greats. Mike Tilka and Terry Watkinson from The 70's Band Max Webster perform some spectacular hits like 'Oh War' and 'High Class In Borrowed Shoes' with the great Frank Soda On Vocals. StoneBolt has a very long history of Canadian Classic Rock greats with " I Will Still Love You" as well as many other famous songs. There were some dignitaries in the audience this night. Canadian cultural treasure Dee Lippingwell who is Canada's Iconic Rock Star Photographer was there to share some stories during the meet and greet, take picture with and to photograph the artists too. The Jimi Hendrix Memorial Foundation with Sir John and Johnny Hendrix, Jimi's Oldest son.Johnny drew the 50-50 ticket and was available also for photographs all night. Dancing and singing with 'Mama Let That Boy Play' during Jerry Doucette's set, Boppin With The Blues with The Powder Blues, and 'Let Go The Line' with Terry Watkinson of Max Webster fame . Al Harlow Rocked with some of Prisms Hits. James Buddy Rogers is a seasoned Blues Artist. His Hit, 'My Guitar's My Only Friend'. So Many artists, too many hits. The Ray Roper project just kept on giving. Most artists played in each other's sets. A real jam Night! It was such a special night and for a great cause. The Happy Liver Society and Stacey House are the recipients of tonight's show. The show had a good turnout and I hope they did benefit from the great generosity of all the bands with their time and help with this great cause. I hope to get to next years show too. Rock and Roll!
