    Outstanding performance

    by M. C. on 2020-03-20Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan, but I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy seeing the Two Towers, again... No problem, as it turned out...! This was an extraordinary show with a brilliant orchestra and choir which literally played from start to finish (with a number of short dramatic silences), and made the time fly by... The three standing "curtain calls" were well deserved. (I am looking forward to Return of the King, if it comes to a venue near me...)

    Amazing Orchestra - wrong venue

by The Ring and I on 2020-03-11Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

The orchestra, choir and singer was amazing. Really glad i went to see this show. Sadly the venue, Canadian Tire Place, was not the best location. Seats were too far back from stage, sound and sighty lines would have been better in smaller venue.

    I really enjoy the show

by Chorch on 2020-03-10Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

Music was pretty amazing plus the chorus and singer was really talented. Nevertheless i was expecting only the music and no the whole movie with live music.

    Amazing Experience

by Fabiana on 2020-03-09Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

My first time that I have seen a concert like this. I love the movies and for me, it was a unique and pleasant experience. Good job GFN Productions. I will not gonna miss any of your concerts in Ottawa.

    Not great viewing venue

by Gary on 2020-03-09Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

The orchestra was great, but having to turn my head to see the screen and the band for 3 hours was not comfortable. We left after 50 minutes

Sounded wonderful, some extras would be good

by Char on 2020-03-09Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

Really wonderful sound, etc. It was a surprise that there were french subtitles. Not sure if that was mentioned in the ticket buying experience because it detracted from the movie somewhat. The arena was far too large for this event as there were a number of empty seats in our section and the seats were not all facing the screen which resulted in some neck cramps. A great idea would be to have screens focusing on members of the orchestra during their solos, like at any other large concert. We could not see the performers very well and they were fantastic, so it would have been nice to see close-ups of them from time to time.

    Almost perfect

by Kristi on 2020-03-09Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

The orchestra was amazing. The choir and vocalist added a truly delightful depth to the experience. The only fly in the ointment is that our view of the screen was partially obstructed by equipment (we were in section 101). If that had been noted when I bought the tickets I would have chosen seats in a different section. I felt a little ripped off paying over $100/ticket for an obstructed view. Also, the experience would be incredible if the jumbo-tron could show the orchestra close up. We’re there to see them as well as hear them, after all. We’ve seen the movie many times.

    Wonderful

by Maddi on 2020-03-09Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

The Orchestra was so fanstatic that at points rhroughout the movie i found myself forgetting they were the ones performing ALL the music. The only negative thing about this experience was the seating, which if you choose seats on the left or right side, you will have a sore neck! Besides that, excellent!

    Poor planning

by Joker on 2020-03-09Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

We were in our seats 20 mins before the show started. We missed the first ten minutes of the performance due to all the ppl that were given “floor upgrades” streaming down the isle blocking our view. We weren’t the only ones to have this complaint. The ushers could have done a better job of getting those folks sorted without blocking two entire sections views for so long. The orchestra was phenomenal!!
