Laughter is GOOD for the soul!!!!

by SmellsGood on 2011-05-26Merriem Theatre - Philadelphia

I am very proud of the producer and writer of this joyful production, Theo London! I think that they play did a wonderful job of delivering sub-plots in a manner that was funny yet serious. There were many twists and turns to the story that kept the audience completely engaged and entertained. Kudos to the marvelous cast of icons that engaged in their roles and participated in this black culture stage play. I loved, Angie Stone, I loved NeNe Leakes, and Tyson Beckford, Kenny Lattimore and the others were fantastic as well. I believe this is an important piece of work and would recommend it to everyone that wants to laugh and enjoy a journey through everyday issues coming to life through theatre. Noterribly serious plots, no overly fluffy acting, but a great time to laugh at yourself or people you know! 5 STARS! *****

I've seen kindergarten plays better than this

    by SUMMER71 on 2011-05-16James L Knight Center - MIAMI

This was the WORST I mean the WORST play I have ever seen in my entire life.Ne Ne needs to stick to reality shows because she is horrible on stage. I feel sorry for Kenny because he has allowed this play writer to trick him to even star in this play. If i can give this play 0 stars I would. They should pay people to come and sit through the torture. Absolutely horrible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

    Confused....

by Anonymous on 2011-05-06Lincoln Theatre - Washington, DC

I love going to plays..but this one was torture!! It had too many sub-plots and was hard to follow. Some of the actors were talking too low or too fast so we couldnt understand the dialogue and the play was confusing and seemed unfinished. The only highlights were a few songs and eye-candy Tyson...other than that it was a flop. I'm glad I won free tickets because I'd be upset had I purchased them. *also the "celebrities" they used to market the play weren't even the main characters...NeNe was maybe in the last 20 mins of the play and Tyson made about 3 cameos, and Lenny williams popped up randomly just to sing a song...

    Terrible

    by Nicole203 on 2011-05-04Lincoln theatre - Dc

I have seen a million plays and this 1 was 3 hours long, storyline was all over the place and simply stated ......the very worst I have ever seen. Tyson beck ford, was wonderful to look at......for the 3 appearances he made. Some parts were just weird...made no sense! Half the theatre walked out before the end of the play. Laughing during the so called serious parts. Don't waste ur time or money
