It's like bands don't even do sound-checks anymore. From the Gallery, the sound was pretty bad; it was was harsh, muffled together. We couldn't distinguish the instruments, yet alone clearly hear the singer. We could hardly hear the keyboard, which, in my opinion, is really what makes for Malajube unique sound. Unfortunately, this was not worth the money.
Malajube has some awesome tunes and their show was a super good time. The venue was also awesome, and everyone was in a good mood because of the superb tunes from Malajube. The only thing I would change is that there were too many opening bands and it took a while for Malajube to actually come out. But other than that, the show was perfect!
Liked the band, but had 2 opening bands which meant Malajube played very late in the evening. Opening bands were only average. Event was transferred from Capital Music Hall to Mavericks, but that didn't cause a problem. Was good and intimate.
