Mardi Gras Tickets

Not sure why Saturday Feb 14, 2015 at Winnipeg Convention Centre missed the mark this year. The band was fun but that was about the only entertainment that night. There was NO traditional parade. No entertainers beside one stilt person for a few minutes when we arrived there. Waited and waited until the end of the night and still no parade. We went to try some of the foods and they didn't have any deep fried pickles. no crab cakes, no alligator fritters...so we ended not eating anything. I took my daughter and her two friends and unfortunately they missed out on some aspects of Mardi Gras and don't know why!

I would have to say my first and only experience with this was horrible The food and drinks were overpriced The stage show was not even New Orleans style even though that's where they apparently hailed from As for the other entertainment you couldn't see it if yu were at at table because since there was not enough seating available everyone stood around the performers on the floor which meant I saw nothing Maybe Winnipeg could go t the real thing and get some pointers on how to do things right

Summary: - Great time - lots of eye candy - very fun environment Would have given it 5 stars with the exception of six bucks ($5.75) for a drink, definitely demoted it one star.

I had never been to Mardi Gras before so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a really fun night! I will go again next year and will be sure to dress up!

Was 110% better than 3 years ago! More to see, more tables and chairs, more bars - but sometimes still long line ups. Band was good, first set was mostly Zydeco, was very good, but than for some reason in the second set they played mostly rock which in my opinion didn't sound as good. They're a Zydeco band, they should stick to that, especially for a Mardi Gras party. Lots of people were dressed up and playing the part. Really good deal on getting pictures in the photo booth with four different backgrounds, nice colours, good quality - $2 per person! Glad to see they didn't try to take people to the cleaners. We left about midnight, just as some people started to get sick in the bathrooms and drinks were being spilt everywhere, had to be careful not to wipe out as you were walking around. Probably would have been a good idea that they had people walking around with mops.

Lots to see and do. I enjoyed the dancers, the band, the food concessions, variety of mixed drinks, and vendors! Lots of tables to sit at, plenty of dance floor space and a great place to meet other people!

This was the first time I went to mardi gras. I was hoping for more food items. The band wasnot that great. The music was not what I would hear from in New Orleans.

Great time...great music...can't wait for next year!
