The performance of Tschaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 "Pathetique" was hauntingly beautiful -- sending chills through my body as the main theme exuded a mournful longing for lost love. Sitting front row centre, I followed the fluttering of Gergiev's hands as he masterfully led the orchestra through a gamut of hopeful and sometimes painful emotions. He danced about the stage, conducting without a score. A memorable Sunday afternoon!
Absolutely wonderful concert. I hope this orchestra will return to Ottawa every year.
Outstanding..I hope He will come back to Ottawa as this was a memorable concert.
