by Soprea on 2024-01-23Meridian Hall - Toronto

A great show of dance and music, full of energy, joy and good feeling! 10 dancers from all sizes can harmonize together on a beautiful music, wonderfully sung live (band, soloist and backup singers!).

Dancer great. Venue engaged in ageism.

by Rosebud on 2024-01-22Meridian Hall - Toronto

Well... I have seen this troupe before but many years ago. The dancers were lovely, choreography great. Mark Morris is a legend and it was wonderful to see his movement again. I took issue with the venue supplying only QR for the performance. 1/2 the audience was over 70 by my estimate and were fully unable to access the program due to technology limits. This created an environ where many people did not know what the dances were, if there was an intermission, and worst of all no credit to the performers, stage crew etc. I was so disappointment in this ageism and ask that this be figured out. The audience could have enjoyed themselves much better and the performers, crew etc could have had their dues. How is this union compliant?

It was a great night - the dance itself - and the singing - and the live band - fabulous!

The music of Burt Bacharach, with the choreography of Mark Morris, and costume designed by Isaac Mizrahi, performed by an insanely talented cast of dancers and musicians = PURE JOY!

    Inventive revisiting of Sgt. Pepper

by Sejd on 2018-02-27Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Great dance company! The Mark Morris brought invention, colour and excitement to the 50th anniversary celebration of the Beatles incomparable Sgt Pepoers Lonely Hearts Club Band. This was no “cover version. The full evening length work was entrancing from beginning to end. Clever, entertaining work by a skilled dance company.

Don't Expect to Re-live Sgt. Pepper Tunes

by DancersMom on 2018-02-27Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Rethinking The Beatles with either low key harpsichord or New Orleans style jazz numbers did not appeal to me. My teen dancer gave a lukewarm thumbs up.
