Delightful show for people of all ages

    by Prairieboy52 on 2017-03-31Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

This was my second time seeing the show; the first was on Broadway. We saw opening night at the Orpheum. I love the story, songs, and choreography, but their appeared to be some challenges with sound on opening night; the issue was that it was difficult to hear the voices at times. I'm not sure if that was due to mixing that was not yet properly accounting for the venue or if it was the acoustics of the venue itself.

    Great Story and Wonderful Music!

by pigpen on 2016-07-10Boston Opera House - Boston

Booked tickets not knowing the premise of the musical. We were in Boston overnight, and we're hoping there was a theatre production/concert in town we could attend. Once we saw "Matilda" was touring and at the Opera House, we decided it would be great to also see the beautiful venue they were playing in. The cast was very good, especially the children. I thought it was an interesting sad/happy storyline. Lots of fun musical numbers. I would definitely recommend.

    Great Show!!

by broadwaywannabe on 2016-03-19Fisher Theatre - Detroit

This is the 2nd time I have seen this show. It is wonderful. It is more like the book than the movie. At the Fisher though, the first half was too quiet. The mics should have been turned up, the music was louder than the actors. When I saw Kinky Boots at the Fisher the problem was the same. This was just a reflection on the Fisher, not the show.
