    I was there

by Fisherman10 on 2013-10-01Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Very small showing of fans . for Matt 'guitar' Murphy, Sugar Blue, Eddy Clearwater, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Rachelle Coba, The Pappy Johns Blues Band. The show ! Started slow the Pappy johns blues started out good for a 3 piece band . Rachelle Coba new to me great voice liked it a lot ,Alvin Youngblood JR liked his performance . SO applause to Sugar Blue for coming out with out a back up band reason no back up . The crowd (audience ) was to small for there ego. The Promoter came out to say sorry for the show moving a long so slowly (Because he was in the back stage trying to get the main act on stage with his band . Which he did not get . He had some local guitarist and a drummer fill in and Guitar Matt Murphy came out for 12 minutes to jam >There was a harp player in the corner which was very good who never got a chance to really show off his talent . The 2 guitar players where stage hogs . the show did not meet the cost of admission

Bles Explosion exploded before they were finished

by Scoobiee on 2013-09-30Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Unfortunately there not many in the audience and some of the band members refused to play for a small audience. There were however professionals that did perform and very well I might add, they were true show men, they made our night, but the absence of the back up bands was inexcusable. We couldn't wait to see some of the older players and they did not disappoint, but some of the back up bands for them could learn a thing or two from the pros. Barb
