Excellent entertainment for kids and adults alike!

by Wenneu on 2016-11-29Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

Great show! The dancers were amazing and the costumes spectacular. The music was authentic Nutcracker and the show was easy for the kids to follow. The sing-a long was great as well. The kids we took( ages 5 and 8) enjoyed every minute!

    Don't waste your money!

by bbrownneziol on 2013-11-07Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

I took my two boys (6 & 3) and the only one that somewhat enjoyed this show was my 6 year old. Barely any audience interaction. Didn't explain the basic story of The Nutcracker in my opinion. This is the first time I've been to a live show and didn't clap once and was not alone in this feeling. Hardly anyone around us was clapping either. My opinion is don't waste your money on this show.

    Very good

by Gibbyjr123 on 2013-11-06Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

This was very entertaining for both the two 4 year olds and myself. I thought it was a very interesting and entertaining way to introduce ballet to young children. Ruby did an awesome job of talking about what the dancers were doing without making it too long or boring for the children. My two granddaughters were mesmerized and when we came out one said "that was awesome nana and you are the best nana in the world". If that's not a great review, I don't know any better!

Max & Ruby Nutcracker was simple, good fun

by TiaSuzie on 2013-11-06Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

I went with my 6 year old girl who takes ballet classes and we had a great time. She was one of the oldest in the group- and not really interested in Max and Ruby anymore, but we went because it was the Nutcracker and they did a great job. It was a mini Nutcracker ballet with Max and Ruby helping to tell the story. Wonderful way to kick off Christmas- for a younger crowd.

The kids had a blast. The running time was just perfect - long enough, but not too long where the kids got restless. I would definitely recommend this show for any family!

    Great show for kids

by TinaK on 2013-01-03Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Max and Ruby Nutcracker was a beautiful show, easy to watch, delightful. My 3yo daughter was amazed at the dancing. The only thing I did not like was the start time, a bit late, and the intermission was more than 20mins, not 10mins as they announced, so it ended up being a late night for my two little ones.

    Ballet all the way!

by DDDsparky on 2012-12-20Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Recommended for those with daughters. My son was fixated on Max but his part in this show was minimal. He got bored. I get it that it is based on the Nutcracker suite but wished their was more appeal for young boys.
