He's the only comedian who's ever made me fall to the ground laughing by just talking about his cats. His observations on the normal and mundane are so inspired and hilarious I can't imagine anyone not falling in love with his work.
Showalter was amusing, but not so funny. He was super sensitive about people talking during his stand up and paused quite a few times to go off about someone in the audience. It was a drag to listen to. I'm sure he is great sometimes, but he never really got that into his set, and never seemed focused, and he kept glacing at his phone to see if his time was up yet. I would have rather avoided the heat of the Horseshoe and watched re-runs of Showalter's Showalter instead.
great show - really personal type of comedic storytelling. i love everything this man does, this was no exception!
