    April Wine

by midnitelady on 2013-11-06Concert - St. Albert

This was the first time I ever got to see April Wine in Concert. I was so excited because they are an amazing band and I loved all their music. I was so disappointed and it was the worst concert I have ever been too. Myles hardly sang any songs and the rest of the band was singing instead. Myles didn't speak with the audience and he faced the drummer most of the night. April Wine has so many hits that they could play for 2 hours straight and just play their hits which would have been great. May every 5th song was a hit. Were they always this bad in concert? Maybe it's why they didn't make it worldwide. If you can't even take the time to be a band and play for your fans like a real Rock Band, then you shouldn't be allowed to play at all. You must have been a good band at one time.....what happened to you? What a sad way to end a band's career.

April Wine was okay but not great.

by Flood on 2013-04-17Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

It was enjoyable for most of the show. A few songs in the beginning did not seem like the good old days. They were a little off.

    Slow start energy got better.

by Laughing2loud on 2013-04-16Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

To start a show with scolding the audience for taking pics with camera phones you should be honored that anyone still wants to do that(no money will be made from the photos). To also mention Myles Goodwyn that you don't know the rules of the theatre but do not come down to the floor in front of the stage (after Mr. Red Robinson himself at the beginning said the band didn't want anyone down there) was a ridiculous statement to make. You are a Rock n Roll band with fans that want to dance to your music still after all these years you should be thrilled they still pay to see you. Then you had your apple juice and said you were a diabetic, so next time have your juice before the show because it helped your mood a bit and you even smiled a little. Halfway into the show the crowd was not feeling friendly towards you and decided to change that and only then did the energy improve when the fans went down to the floor and even security smiled and finally at last it was a party. The energy level went up and we were able to enjoy the show. We have seen you many times and after your attitude at the beginning I am very doubtful we will see you again why should we pay our hard earned money to be treated like you were doing us a favour and to scold us and point your finger at us was appalling and yes you redeemed yourself eventually it was too little too late. We would rather spend our money on entertainers that still want to entertain for the fans not just to get some money in their pocket. You don't even look like you enjoy what you do you look more like a Grumpy old man!

Myles Goodwyn behaved like a dink

by tsmith5 on 2013-04-15Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Within 5 minutes of taking the stage he was scolding people and wagging his finger about somebody taking a picture. Who do you think you are sir ? Trust me your photo is not going to be worth anything on E-Bay and you started off the show by rubbing people the wrong way. The venue over serves, ushers more concerned with cameras than drunk patrons, seats move every time one of the above mentioned drunk people goes back for yet another drink they shouldn't be served and the sound sucked, guitars out of tune etc...

    Band good, sound terrible

by SMEH on 2013-04-15Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

The sound technician was not great, lead singer too loud in comparison to other singers, and it didnt matter where you stood. Venue great, great staff, very enjoyable. Band pretty good, they are a great band. Terrible sound.
