About

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

March Madness offers college hoops fans the ultimate in basketball intensity as 68 teams from across the country punch their tickets to the Big Dance and compete for the championship. Basketball devotees wait all season to fill out their brackets, cheer on their hometown heroes, and scope out promising NBA hopefuls as the nation's best college players take the court. March Madness has become one of the most anticipated television events of the year, but the thrills are even bigger inside the arena, where ticket buyers can hear the roar of the crowd feel the rumble of the action in person. The competition gets fiercer each weekend until the Final Four duke it out.

March Madness History

Ever since the first NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championship was held in 1939, March Madness has gripped basketball fans across the country as top-tier amateurs lay it all on the line for a shot at glory. Originally played with a bracket of eight teams, both the tournament's number of competitors and its popularity have expanded exponentially in its 75+ years of existence. Today, 68 teams tango in one of four regional brackets (East, South, Midwest, and West) as the hoops hysteria spreads to arenas across the country. From perennial favorites to bracket-busting Cinderella stories, the tournament has seen it all, and fans won't want to miss a second of the unpredictable action hitting the hardwood this spring.

    Dunkin

    by bayoubunny66 on 2018-04-05TD Garden - Boston

Boisterous fans and a good selection of over-tall athletes made for a delightful few hours of dunking and shooting from downtown. Seeing the lads penetrate and take it hard to the rim seemed to excite a large part of the crowd. Watching the inside/outside crossover dribbles befuddle the behemoths was also amusing.

    Love March Madness

by OldyBill on 2017-03-22Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

A great event at Bankers Life. We had high seats but a great view of the court. If you are getting seats for both sessions in Round 1 be prepared for a long day, our first game was at 12:10, session 1 game 2 abour 2:45, session 2 started at 7:10 and we were there past midnight. Nice on gameday #2 though, only 2 games.

NCAA basketball - St. Louis venue

by fedupliberal on 2016-03-28Scottrade Center - St Louis

Excellent games, of course. Wonderful hotel experience in converted railway station. Not the best arena - lousy food, not a good basketball scoreboard. It's obviously a hockey town.

    Best deal/best venue

by expos09 on 2016-03-25University of Dayton Arena - Dayton

There is no doubt that the best deal-cost, quality of games, Dayton Arena venue combined- is the First Four experience in the Mens' Division 1 NCAA basketball tournament. This is the second year in a row to attend with absolutely no regrets. We hope to make this an annual event.

    First Four Fantastic In Dayton!!!

by Jennrsunshine on 2016-03-19University of Dayton Arena - Dayton

Excellent venue, great seats, great price, efficient and reasonable parking ($10)! Will definitely come back! Saw FGCU nail it and Witchita State is already thru to the 2nd round! The US Air Force museum is an added bonus. (Free and only 10 minutes from the stadium). Best collection of aircrafts in the US!

    Elite 8

by tnmama on 2015-03-30Carrier Dome - Syracuse

While the basketball was wonderful the carrier Dome was awful ..we were all crammed in together, the bathrooms are far apart and we had to fight the crowd to get anywhere because all of the merchandise for sale ...I would never go back to an event at the carrier Dome... March madness will never disappoint!

    March Madness Was Insane!!!

    by Baller2015 on 2015-03-24KeyArena - Seattle

Amazing event for all hoops fans. Great atmosphere, team spirit! Lots of hoops action to enjoy, 4 games in round 2 and 2 games in round 3. Definitely recommend it. Only downside was the concessions stands at Key Arena. They were limited and the line-ups were huge, considering it was a sold out event.

    Pittsburgh Experience Great

by Anonymous on 2015-03-23CONSOL Energy Center - Pittsburgh

Terrific games, great venue, enjoyable city. We enjoyed all aspects of our stay in Pittsburgh. All games were exciting, even Villanova's big game 1 win. There was lots to see and do in Pittsburgh around the games - interesting attractions, good food, and easy transportation. Great experience all round!
