Including that game, there have been 37 regular-season outdoor games played to date, attended by 1,851,642 fans. What a great experience!

by Heather on 2023-11-17Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Such a fun event! Went to the pre-game concert - the beaches - they were great! The other two band performances - during and third period were excellent additions! kept the crowd going and pumped!

Excellent game, intermission concert, fly-over, bathroom temperatures

Was fun. Stadium not meant for that many people

by Coco on 2023-11-14Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Good thing we got all our beers before the game started. The stadium doesn’t seem like it’s meant to handle the amount of people if it’s full to capacity. Standing in line for food, we left because we spent the whole intermission there. Lady selling beers gave beer to the first person handing her money which meant random people walking by got there’s before us. Was extremely disorganized if you wanted to use the bathroom, get food drink or merchandise. The actual game and entertainment was great though.

    Absolute dumpster fire.

by Payton on 2023-11-07Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Anything good about this event was tainted by the utter chaos of the Commonwealth concourse. In attempt to use the washroom, people became stuck in the crowd and missed the entire second period. The 2 beers I was able to purchase before the game were warmer than the ambient temperature. The line ups at intermissions were formidable. Moving around the concourse was almost impossible, there was no direction of traffic or cattle gating. This place is a dump, and there’s no way it can accommodate 57,000 people. I will never go to this venue again. Not even to see Alan Jackson.

    Good and Bad

by Matt on 2023-11-07Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Game was fine. But the decision to close the south walkway was ludicrous. It took an hour to get to our seats from the time we entered the stadium, most of that trying to shield my kids from frustrated, pushing people. Nearly walked out in frustration.

gerry sniffs around: the gerry bettman story

by gerry bettman on 2023-11-06Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

gerry was sniffing around all night and you know exactly what im talking about :))))))) pulled up to the function and already a tall glass of rosé in me. immediately grabbed a couple brewskis with the boys and proceeded to watch the flames puke all over themselves. thats when i decided to get absolutely hammered. circled back and grabbed two more canadians before puck drop. after the first period gerry was sniffing around some more at the snack bar, the boys found a cheat code around the 2-drink limit by ordering double rum and cokes. finished the night off with approximately 7000 rips of the old weed pen and three more refreshing iced teas in the van. gerry wrote a midterm the next day at 10 am. overall 10/10 would do it again

    Not worth going in person

by Mac on 2023-11-05Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Where to start. The rink is tiny in the middle of the field. The seats are super far from the game and there was only one screen way down in the far end zone. Audio was terrible. Oh and the concession lineup took from end of 1st period until start of 3rd period and they rand out of hot dogs and almost everything else. Giant waste of money

    Fun, but…

by Lee on 2023-11-05Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

The game presentation and entertainment were phenomenal. However the infrastructure getting into the building, to navigating the concourse, finding our seats, and getting at sort of refreshments was a disaster. There were no ushers, no one directing foot traffic. You would think with that kind of income there would be more money available for help, but apparently not.

    Great game poor planning.

by Gman9997 on 2023-11-04Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

Lines to get in and to get to concession or bathroom were beyond ridiculous. Commonwealth stadium organizers have forgotten how to make things work with large crowds.

    Couldn’t see

by Bc on 2023-11-04Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - Edmonton

You couldn’t really see much if you were in the lower bowls and there wasn’t anything for screens to see. At least I’d you were exactly at the other end you would be able to see the big screen on the north side but that’s it for visibility. For how much you paid it would have been nice to have more screens to see. If you were third row at the lower you couldn’t even see the puck!
