Simply fantastic, if you only get to see one show, see this one over the others
An evening you won't forget, The story of Gloria and Emilio is brought to life in the music,
What a wonderful show! Lots of fun. Great music of course and the performances of the top actors were sensational. The actress portrang Gloria sounded exactly like her, even the speaking voice. And Emilio's portrayer was wonderful as well. Totally recommend seeing this play whether a Gloria fan or not. So enjoyable!
We thoroughly enjoyed "On Your Feet". Recognized and sang along with each and every song! The energy, dancing, acting were superb. Would highly recommend this musical.
Music outstanding, vocals simply incredible, storyline very good, actors and actresses very well suited to the roles...overall great evening
Amazing performances, great story. I didn't know much about Emilio and Gloria's personal lives before attending this musical. Story is well told with just enough humor. The music fits the story perfectly well. The performers are great. Gloria, played by Ana Villafañe, is amazing. At times, she sounds like Gloria. Little Gloria, played by Alexandria Suarez has an amazing voice also. Every one falls in love with Consuelo played by Alma Cuervo. Great actress and great role. The dancers are good and the costumes are just enough. Not too eccentric. You never want the show to end.
This was seen in a pre-opening performance so they are still tweaking the show before the official Broadway opening on Nov 5, 2015, at the same location with the same cast. Good cast except for Emilio's character (Josh Segarra) who could not sing the high notes. Hopefully Josh will get his voice up and running soon too. First act pretty disappointing as the transition back and forth from storyline to music was not well staged. Second part much better done and more captivating. Good singers (see above the exception) and dancers. Gloria's character (Ana Villafane) very well played, very nice presence and great voice.
This show was amazing!! The actors, the music, the story, the show, totally unforgettable!! A Must-See in New York!
