    Eww What a night :(

by CMAT on 2013-12-05Conexus Arts Centre - Regina

The review I read that got me to buy the tickets for this show said, "It's not Jersey Boys, It's a full blown concert!" LIES!!! This show was nothing more than four guys singing karaoke. To be fair to the men, their voices were not terrible. The jokes were bad, the lighting was so-so, the choreography was bad. The fact that I paid top dollar to see them shake their butts wearing wrinkly suits in the faces of blue haired grandmas made me embarrassed for them. At times I was thankful for the big haired lady in front of me blocking my view of the stage. Having to listen to them tell poorly written, lame jokes made me question whether or not I could listen to the music of the Four Seasons again without experiencing nausea. It has been a month since I saw this show. Still traumatized. Still mourning the loss of the money I spent on those tickets. I told my husband we could leave at intermission. At one point I was afraid their wasn't going to be an intermission. I feared that he might run out of the theatre shouting, "I can't believe my wife spent my hard earned money on this crap!" Finally intermission came. We left (F.T.R. I've never walked out on anything else). In the unlikely event the show became extraordinary in the second half, for example if they pulled out some kinda Oprah-esque shenanigan, like giving everyone in the audience a new car, then I guess the joke's on me. However, I feel I made the right move by getting out as soon as I did. Take it as truth folks! I don't make a habit of writing bad reviews. One star only because I didn't have the option on no stars.

    FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE!!!!!

by Vacuumking on 2013-04-06Algonquin College Commons Theatre - Ottawa

This was one of the best shows we have ever seen!!! We have seen Jersey Boys in Vegas and at other venues, but these guys were absolutely great. We would go see them again if we ever get a chance.
