    One of a kind event!

by AngelicaG on 2015-07-24MIS-Mississauga Sports Centre - Mississauga

My husband and I were there with our 3 children. My daughters practice Taekwondo and they liked this Pan Am event. The combat for the bronze Medal was amazing!!! We really enjoyed it! Thanks a lot to my husband who has encouraged my daughters to practice Taekwondo, his perseverance and positivism are always helping us to do better. He's become a Pan Am Fan and I'm glad we have attended some events in this Pan Am Games Toronto 2015.

Great Event! Pan Am Games - Taekwondo

by nighthawk on 2015-07-22MIS-Mississauga Sports Centre - Mississauga

We went to see Taekwondo during the Pan Am Games in Mississauga at the Hershey Centre. The event was very well organized and we has a very good time. The seats were very good even considering they were Category B. The facility was top notch and the workers were accommodating. My only criticism is that I could not hear the rules for Taekwondo very well when they were being announced to the audience due to crowd noise. Also I think the loud speakers in the arena were not loud enough and the rules came out muffled so it was hard to know what was going on. I am not that accustomed to Taekwondo and knowing the rules would have helped. It was very fun though and the crowd was enthusiastic. This was a medal event and the ceremony added to our excellent and memorable experience

The event was great, however I wish there was more visual information. I was with friends and we couldn't figure out for what medal was every match. The was an audio announcement , but not clear enough. I found women's matches were more entertaining as they seemed fearless vs men were over cautious to do anything. I admired a wonderful victory of a Cuban girl.
