    This is a must-see!

by Doodlebug777 on 2012-10-12Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

A brilliantly staged play with an incredibly tight ensemble cast. You can tell they were enjoying themselves as much as the audience. Set design was simple yet effective. This is a very fast moving play so if you don't speak or understand English very well you may very well miss a lot of inside jokes. Highly recommended!

Peter and the Starcatcher was forgettable!

by Lulucat on 2012-10-08Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

We were extremely disappointed in this show. It was not what we expected. We were expecting more of a musical production, not so much Improv and the story was silly. It certainly wasn't worth the price of the tickets. We saw it as a result of watching the Tony Awards, and are surprised that it received so many awards.

The wonderful Brooks Atkinson Theatre is the perfect setting to be transported into the imagination of the play!!! Was fun, humourous and the cast amazingly talented!!! A must see!

    black stache stole the show

by epicflailer on 2012-06-15Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

the scene transitions and the use of props in this play were creative and interesting. the set designs were extremely clever. the stage decorations were gorgeous but they outshone the cast, who, unfortunately, were the downfall of the play. against black stache, it was obvious that peter couldn't hold his own, although he was much improved towards the end of the play. wendy, on the other hand, had the most atrocious accent and constantly pulled me out of the play's reality.

Don't Waste Your Time or Money

by RicoAvocado on 2012-05-02Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

It amazes me what passes for entertainment sometimes. This show, a nominee for Tony awards, was really an embarrassment to behold. It was dark, it was supposed to be funny, but was lame. The jokes were actually inducing winces from most of us. that and eye rolling was all that was happening. It was very slow moving. The plot was no greater than in the lowest of low brow musicals and yet this was not a musical. We have seen 10+ Broadway shows in the last 2-3 years. This ranks as by far the worst, even where there were a couple of other clunkers. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to see The Best Man, Other Desert Cities or better yet, save up and splurge on Book of Mormon. Those are all far better than this dreadful show.

Peter and the Starcatcher only hit the fence

by canadianworldtraveller on 2012-05-02Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

We left at intermission. The staging was the only thing that kept our attention. It was billed as theater, but was a musical. Terribly disappointing.
