What an amazing show!!! This was the first show in years that people didn’t have cell phones shining in your face recording the whole show. Placebo put’s everything they’ve got into each show. The sound was fantastic at History in Toronto. The band was on point, it could have been a recording it was so good. Brian’s voice sounded great and Stephan was way more entertaining than I expected! He also sounded great. The band really connects with the audience! Can’t wait for them to come around again!!
Great sounding and very tight. Placebo have always been an important band. I know they released an album after 9 years, but they didn't need to play almost their entire new album and leave out key songs that put them on the map like Nancy Boy, Every You Every Me and Pure Morning. They didn't play one song from what is arguably best and most critically acclaimed album, Without You I'm Nothing. Not one. That was disappointing. But great nonetheless. Would I see them again? Not if they stick to their current setlist, no.
It’s surprising how good they sound live. It started and ended on time and I loved the band in Bryan’s own words: “Placebo enthusiastically discourages the use of cellphones” for both the artists and the fans to live up the show and better connect with each other. History is a great concert venue.
The fact that I cannot use my smartphone to photograph of filming doesn’t male sense to me. Why I cannot have my own memories? This was disappointing and we left the concert right in the beginning due to this.
I wonder did Placebo got old or me… I dunno, only older songs seem to hit right spot..
I was introduced to placebo in grade 9 and fell in love instantly. I later on found out my aunt was a fan of them in the 90s and got a chance to listen their older albums. I have waited 21 years to see them live and I am so greatful I got the chance to. They did amazing and did not gap the flow of the the performance. Love you placebo and thank you for making my high school years the best possible.
I have seen placebo 5 times and they always put on an awesome show. Great engagement with the crowd. Venue was perfect. Max 2500 people keeps the atmosphere intimate.
Awesome venue, classy and intimate. I’ve wanted to see Placebo for over 2 decades and they were worth waiting for… just amazing! Sooooo wish they’d played Special Needs though!!
Placebo is my all time favourite band. Ive seen them many times and they always deliver. This was no exception. Im also a big fan of their no phone, live in the moment approach. The venue was great and clean, sound quality was amazing. Shout out to the medics who we saw attend at least 2 situations extremely quickly and discreetely.
