Rating: 4 out of 5by Roblynn on 2012-10-29McPhillips Station Casino - Winnipeg Rating: 5 out of 5 Prairie Oyster a great performance
by RangerBoy on 2012-10-29McPhillips Station Casino - WinnipegThe group performed at their best despite the fact that we are all getting older. No glitches just a super smooth performance. Always good to see them in person. CD's are good but a live show really brings forth that extra bit of up-tempo sound.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Real Canadian attitude and music
by bcer on 2009-09-21Clarke Theatre Foundation - Missionthe players are tight, relaxed, real and cool. I love this band of players as they exemplify the Canadian Spirit. If you"ve ever wondered who you are as a Canadian, go...just to remember. An ideal concert , in my opinion, would be made up of all Canadian artists...Ian Tyson, Gordon Lightfoot, Blue Rodeo,etc... Lest We Forget... we are Canadian, proud + strong + free(somewhat). Some of the past players are older so a good video of their older days would capture their time/our time. The back drop of the stage is a screen which is capable of digital pics. The band should have organized a video of pics to play while they played. The maple leafs in the background had a very good effect tho.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Prairie Oyster deliver excellant performance
by PrairieOysterFan on 2009-09-20Clarke Theatre Foundation - MissionPrairie Oyster were excellant, played 2 hours straight with no breaks. Only one complaint was the sound: Initially our seats were row D (4th) , centre orchestra on the aisle. Unfortunately this was right in line with the speaker and it was uncomfortably loud. We were able to relocate to row O which was much better. But even then we were not always able to make out what they were saying (volume was plenty but not clear). We have seen them twice before at this venue and did not encounter the sound issue in the past. Other than that the concert was excellant. We like the smaller venue of Clarke Theatare and we love Prairie Oyster and their sound.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Prairie Oyster still rocks the country
by QueenofSheba on 2009-09-20Clarke Theatre Foundation - MissionThese guys (& 1 lady) are amazing!! They are as good now as when they started - maybe better. The variety of sounds from the different guitars that Keith played were fabulous!! Vocal harmonies great! I would recommend this group to anyone & everyone. Don't miss your chance to see them.
