    Lit night

by San on 2019-10-14The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

The opener was not that great. The concert started late. Other than that the might was great and rick Ross played some major throwbacks! My cousins had their first concert and had a lit time 🔥

    Worth the money

Great concert! The venue was packed but not to crowded. For the price, it was well worth it.

    RickRoss was late three hours

by yeee on 2014-06-18Kool Haus - Toronto

the concept suppose to start at 10, the dj played the same songs for three hours while the crowd were waiting for the rapper to show up. In turn, the hype man tried so hard to keep the crowd cool, but it was already late for him to do that. which let the crowd to made all kind of sounds, sounds of hate and madness. Finally Ross showed up at 12:30 he only performed for 30 minutes. THATS IT!!!!

    Cinderella Story

by vtom on 2014-06-18Kool Haus - Toronto

I'm not the biggest Rock Ross fan, but the idea of seeing one of today's better rappers at an intimate venue was more than appealing for the $80 price point. Doors were to open at 8:00PM. Doors didn't open until 9:20PM. That's fine, we've all waited in a line before. Once inside, the atmosphere was what you'd expect from this type of show... including a DJ who tried to get the crowd ready for the opening act. After waiting two hours on the floor, someone came out and took the microphone. The crowd was excited for his Ross' introduction, which didn't come. The person took the mic and started to sing along with the tracks the DJ played. Awful. Before midnight, the anticipation was completely gone. The idea of seeing one of today's great rappers vanished. And so did I. I would no longer wait for an artist who would make his fans wait over 4 hours to hear - from what I read - a 47-minute set.

    Waste of time and money

by JOLO on 2011-12-25Sound Academy - Toronto

That was the worst concert I have ever experienced. The concer started at 7 and Rick Ross didn't care to show up till around 12. We were led to believe that he was already in the building by his waste rappers performing that opened up and tried to stall for him. They were garbage my 9 year old brother could rap better. His opening acts decided it would be a great idea to throw a pair of shoes ( Jordan's ) in the audience. yes great idea, getting hit in the head with a pair of shoes. Not only is getting hit in the head bad enough but this causes fights. By the time Rick Ross came out half the audience left and we spent the majority of the time booing. Lastly the sound academy is the worst place to have a concert and I enjoyed going home with swollen feet

    Rick Ross

by HipHopFan on 2011-12-24Sound Academy - Toronto

Rick Ross himself was actually dope. The rest of the show was filled with a bunch of WEAK AMATEUR toronto MC's. Had to wait 4 hours in the crowed before rick ross even hit the stage! Missing my last Go train to from union station. Not Impressed!!! Rick Ross wasn't even in the building. Leaving the crowd waiting for and hour in between sets with no entertainment. They were just blasting reggae music while we waited. I came to see a hip hop show not got to a reggae club with a $60 cover charge. SO not impressed! It was a General Admission show so i arrived early to get up front. Standing in one place smashed with other people for a total of 6 hours without water was not my idea of a fun time. If i left for a drink i would never be able to get back, I was committed!

    Came on way too late

by Lifestylesucks on 2011-12-24Sound Academy - Toronto

Way too many openers. Waited 4 hours for a 45 min performance..the openers were evn longer and weren't even good. I blame it on the event hosts though...bad organization. Was not ran smoothly. Rick Ross was still sick though.

Show was to begin at 7, although we know that opening acts usually take up 2 hours ... the opening acts weren't even great. Bunch of local starving artists ... would have been more impressed had they had DECENT acts perform. Waited until 11:45 until Ross came on stage to perform for an hour. Performance was ill, but having to wait over 5 hours to see an hour long performance was wack.
