    Canned Heat was very disappointing!

by BunnyK on 2013-08-23Casino Rama - Rama

We were really looking forward to Canned Heat the most and were pleasantly surprised they were the first band on stage. They started off with Going Up The Country and we really enjoyed it . Their next one was a showing off our individual talent solos. Then they were done! Our jaws dropped in disbelief! Why couldn't they have played another of their many hits instead? I'm ashamed to say we never heard of Pat Travers Band but he was fantastic! Rick Derringer and Edgar Winter were good but the best was yet to come with Ten Years After! So embarrassed for them that people started leaving while they were still performing. Too bad because they were the best! All in all, in a two hour concert, we heard 14 songs. Glad it didn't cost a fortune to go.

Rock N Blues Fest a waste of time

by Axcel on 2013-08-20Casino Rama - Rama

Groups all played only a few songs each followed by roadies setting up the next groups equipment. Thought long drum/guitar solo's were a thing of the past?

Rock N Blues Fest - so "enjoyable"!

by Anonymous on 2012-09-06Sound Academy - Toronto

Kim Simmonds from Savoy Brown wow, when you can entertain with just how great you can play the guitar, says it all. This festival put together a group of performers from Kim Simmonds, Rick Derringer, Edgar + Johnny Winter great combination of acts, it worked, fun evening. I enjoyed the start time and the short breaks in between artists. I had not seen Edgar Winter in awhile and definitely did not disappoint, love the keyboards, "Frankenstein" brought back lots of great memories.

Johnny brought out some strong emotions.

by NakedR on 2012-09-04Sound Academy - Toronto

It was so good to see Johnny still ripping up those wonderful solos - given his physical state these days. Brought tears to my eyes. I was disapointed that most of the guests played so early - especially for a saturday night performance. I missed most of them. Johnny made up for it!

the show was incredible ... to see the two brothers appear and play together is truly a once in a lifetime experience that I shall never forget .. The mixed performances that intertwined , enhanced each other as they took the stage to Jam with Their Fellow Musicians .... It was pure delight and in awe that I remember this particular show ... I shall never forget what My ears and eyes have seen.... Thank You to Johnny, Edgar ,Rick and Kim .. It was truly spectacular show and will go down as One of My Favorite Music Events of All Time ...

    Excellent show!!!!

Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter, Rick Derringer, Kim Simmonds - I would've gone to see any of them if they were playing in my area - but to have all four on the same bill? I'm there in a heartbeat !! At a couple points, all four were on stage together, a real treat.
