Romeo & Juliet Tickets

Perhaps my experience was enhanced by being in the front row but, I truly enjoyed the performance of Romeo and Juliet. The acting and emoting of the performers was balanced and appreciated, as were the comedic antics of Mercutio. The sprinkling of swordfights intermingled wonderfully with the onstage humour between Mercutio and Romeo without minimizing the serious overtones of the mandated story. Once again I must reiterate the sense of loss at not having a live orchestra however, I also understand that the inclusion of such would drive ticket costs into the realm of a national ballet performance so the presence of piped in sound is a small sacrafice to enable those to witness such an enjoyable performace who would otherwise be financially unable. An extra treat was seeing the head of the company, Bengt Jorgen in two roles! Once again, thank you Ballet Jorgen, for giving a beautiful translation of a timeless classic.
