Not an acceptable performance, wasted my money. His band was tooo loud and he could not be heard, it was requested many times to lower band volume and never was. A 79 year old entertainer should be in top physical health to give a top performance. he butchered a few songs. He is a top gentleman but a performer that night he was not.

    Roy Clark was wonderful

by Buster21 on 2012-09-28McPhillips Station Casino - Winnipeg

We went to the dinner and show. The dinner wasnt all that great. Turkey roll instead of real turkey but the show more than made up for it. Roy clark is still great. I use to watch him on Hee Haw and have always hoped he would come to my city. Im 52 now so its been alot of years that Ive hoped for this and he finally came. It was well worth the wait.

I'm glad I got to see him once. I wish I could have seen him years ago instead. I do think it's time he hangs up his hat.

    Roy Clark Live

by TheFolks on 2012-09-26McPhillips Station Casino - Winnipeg

Roy Clark entertains very well at 79 and recovering from back operations. His humour and talent are unending. He has a great band which seems more like family; they show respect and admiration for him and enjoy playing in his band with him. We enjoyed the songs and Roy is so amazing to watch especially playing the Orange Blossom Special. His band members each shine with their own talents. Would definitely see him perform again - would just like to hear him sing and play more - the backup was a bit loud and we strained to hear Roy's voice & playing. It did not matter that he could not hit the same notes as a few years ago - he has the stamina and loves what he does to make his show entertaining and very enjoyable. He still has the twinkle in his eyes! One of us was a bit disappointed in the 'turkey' dinner for the price; and have been to similar events where there was 2 bottles of wine per table of 8 included with the meal for the same price (or one free beverage each).

We think this show should have been cancelled. He was ill and not recovered from his spine surgery. His voice was very shallow and I felt very sorry for such a sub-standard preformance from such a talented artist. We should all be entitled to a refund. Nothing against the artist --- just too ill. The band was good and held him up.

    Clark had no Spark

by NoSpark on 2012-09-26McPhillips Station Casino - Winnipeg

Roy Clark should not be touring! People are not getting their money's worth. Big fan of Roy but could not hear his soft spoken lead singing, He didn't move from stool due to back surgery, popping lozenges and finale couldn't keep fiddle under his chin without the help of a band member. Forget an encore -- with cane and assistance -- was led off stage.

    Roy Clarke

by dwdgbrown on 2012-09-26McPhillips Station Casino - Winnipeg

Great show. Unfortunately Roy is getting past his prime and was hard to hear at times. His deterioriating health will be a significant issue very soon. His band performed wonderfully with great musicians and singers. Roy is still one of the greatest guitar players in the world and deserves a great deal of respect for hanging in under obvious tremendous pain in his back.

Roy Clark may be getting older, but he still has it and puts on a great show. Its great when the artist interacts with the audience and people are laughing and enyoying the show.
