    Scott is Amazing!

by littlelulu on 2013-08-12Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

Great show. Scott rocked out and played all of the classics plus some fun covers and solo pieces. The Wildabouts were great too, completed the package. Loved the show, would see again and again.

    Scott Weiland show was pathetic.

by Sevenfire7 on 2013-08-12Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

The band is horrible, they played songs 4xs faster than actual tempo. Scott messed up on the majority of his lyrics and was way out of tune. They reminded me of your under performing average niebourhood bar band. Not impressed at all.

    Scott Weiland

    by SlickMick22 on 2009-08-17Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

This was definitely a mellower show for this former frontman. He played quite a few songs from his previous bands, and did a cover. He was his usual self. Very engaging at parts, but sometimes it looked uninspired. I have seen him live before, so I was expecting a bit more from him. But overall, I got what I came to see. His band was good, not great. He still has his voice and charisma. I would definitely see him again live.

    Scott Weiland still has it!

by FatTamScoop on 2009-07-29Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I've been an STP fan for many years. I've seen them several times. So naturally I wanted to see Scott Weiland in a solo setting. What I enjoyed was that Scott didn't shun the STP or Velvet Revolver songs in his set. I like that he realizes fans love his group work. Unfortunately, the fans didn't show as much respect, yelling out STP songs the ENTIRE show. This was also Scott's chance to showcase his new album. The STP songs were a highlight though, as well as Barberella off his first solo record. The only mild issue I had was with the seemingly 10 minute gratuitous renditions of some of his new songs. I'm glad I went, I got my money's worth and I hope Scott continues to make music.

    Strong performance for Weiland

by Robinski on 2009-07-13Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I was pleasantly surprised by the strength of performance, energy, and sound quality. It was a treat to see Scott in a small venue which plays well to both his music style and stage prescence. I was somewhat concerned that Scott may have shown up less than engaged, but he was in good form. I really enjoyed his solo work as there was more creativity in the arrangements although a couple of songs did go on a bit too long (the Mockingbird girl refrain for instance). It was unfortunate that much of the crowd were there just for the STP nostalgia (which was delivered better than STP themselves might have done...) - the catcalls for STP songs did get annoying. Overall a great performance at the perfect venue!

    Sad Show

by Rastaz on 2009-07-13Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I saw Scott Weiland play at GM Place with Stone Temple Piolots and they rocked. Scott on his own was a very disappointing show, so bad half of the group that I attended with left after the fiorst 4 songs!

    Oh, the agony!!!

by Dacker on 2009-07-13Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Well, let me first say I am one of the biggest Scott Weiland fans on the planet. I've been to see him with STP, VR, and his solo show here. This show at the Commodore however was one of the biggest disappointments in my extensive concert history. The band and Scott spent half the night jamming on lame psychedelic acid rock, playing with knobs on what looked like an old tube radio, making weird noises, it was a gong show to be kind. The new material simply has NO HOOKS AT ALL, just dull, droning things that never develop into any sort of melody. 1 Can stomach about 2 out of 10 songs he's released in his solo career, which seems to be getting worse each passing day. Too bad, I hate to see such a great and talented performer make such an utter fool of himself. It's obvious the writing talent in both STP and VR did not come from the creative imagination of Mr. Weiland. At this show, people were actually leaving after 5 or 6 songs, especially since a 20 solid minute noise-fest of a jam brought the entire tone of the show to a screeching halt by then! Bodies continued filtering out through the night, until there was less than a half-empty room to play for, which is VERY unusual for this great venue. All I can say is, I felt I wasted my money, and would not go to another solo show. I can only hope he gets back together with STP again, and saves his dying career......

    Scott Weiland

by Budderfly on 2009-07-13Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Always been a fan of Scott Weiland since the days of STP. Felt honored to hear him play some old classics like Interstate Love Song and Mockingbird Girl. Seeing artists in the Commodore Ballroom is always an intimate treat! Thank you!
