    Queens of Hearts

by BobH on 2024-03-06WinSport Event Centre - Calgary

Very good venue. Fans (3,000) were very courteous. Contestants played exceptionally well! Parking $10, what can I say! Beer $9.50 and Water $4.50, I guess this the going cost?

    Tournament of Hearts

by Aurora on 2024-03-02WinSport Event Centre - Calgary

We went to five games including the Gold Medal game. The other four games on the two days previous to that game. I had an old childhood friend , and avid curling fan, who flew here from Vancouver to attend the games. We enjoyed everything about the tournament. The venue at Winsport was first class. Bathrooms well placed and clean. Three concessions available and easy to get to. The arena seats were surprisingly comfortable. The entertainment, music , and entertaining competitions in the stands was so enjoyed. We spent time at The Patch especially between games. So much fun. Talked to a lot of visitors , enjoyed the food, drinks and live music The parking areas were well organized with attendants directing traffic I can’t think of one negative thing about the three days we spent watching the games at Winsport/Calgary.

I have been to many curling events, mostly in Edmonton. I thought the venue was great, no to big.

    Great Scotties Experience

by Stormy on 2024-02-29WinSport Event Centre - Calgary

Had a great time at the Scotties. Only recommendation is that all tickets should be printable for those that do not have data on their phones. The seats were great. My experience with Ticketmaster made the whole experience user friendly and helped make the overall experience something I would definitely do again.

    Fantastic Scotties Tournament

by Del on 2024-02-29WinSport Event Centre - Calgary

The tournament itself was fantastic for the 6 final weekend games that we saw. The Winsport arena was top notch. The only bad part was the parking, and it was absolutely a disaster. We should never had to pay for parking. If you did have to pay then there should have been in/out privileges. And there need to be responsible parking attendants giving directions.

Great sporting event, poor venue acoustics

by Cathy J. on 2024-02-29WinSport Event Centre - Calgary

What can you say, the great Jennifer Jones was showing her excellence. Tickets were easy to buy, the crowd was fun but ...... the floor announcers were difficult to hear. You would think in a nice venue like Winsport that could be improved. Shame as I think they were funny. We were row 5 and the echoes with the mike were impossible.

    A little room for improvement

by Kimmer on 2024-02-28WinSport Event Centre - Calgary

The event was great overall. However, on Friday night, there was only one set of Men/Women's washrooms open and available which made for very, very long lineups. This was fixed on the Sunday. The number of screens showing the event is limited. Please consider adding a few more to capture more angles. We had great (and not cheap) seats, but were limited to seeing the entire venue and could not rely on the few TV screens, and where we did we were constantly straining our necks to view them. Perhaps more along the main walls. The cafeteria-style venue was clean and provided good, reasonably priced options. Parking was well priced.

Second best Scotties we have attended.

by Randy on 2024-02-28WinSport Event Centre - Calgary

For the most part the crowd was quiet, but that is typical for a Calgary sports crowd. No bagpipes to introduce the teams. The people directing car traffic did a wonderful job, the food kiosks went smoothly, people with stronger arms are needed in order to throw goodies up to the top rows. Seating was excellent. The big screens were fantastic.

    Great time. Met wonderful people

by Curling Groupie on 2024-02-28WinSport Event Centre - Calgary

. We were told we could not re-enter, then met some smokers who went in and out. We were not happy at having to pay for parking on the weekends, $10 each time you came and went. A day pass would have been better if we had to pay. Traffic control people were excellent. The acoustics were very poor. We were in the top row of seats and couldn’t understand Stu talking, the sound was garbled. We were disappointed there weren’t any China coffee mugs to purchase as a souvenir. Event was a lot of fun. Volunteers were excellent. No opening ceremony was disappointing. Teams not being led in with their provincial/territorial flags was also disappointing.
